Article Usefulness
I don't know much about this anime, but my problem is this article is all but useless to me. What I see here is a great resource for anyone who follows Trinity Blood - but what about someone who just wants to know what the show is about? There needs to be a paragraph, at the top, explaining the series' premise further. I really don't want to read about all the characters just to get a handle on this thing, and I doubt other users will.
The information in the previous edition is very inaccurate, need a big fix up.
- You really need to fix that up. It's not even complete! Nanami Kamimura 00:57, 24 September 2005 (UTC)
- I second that. I will see if the people form the forum I am in can add some details to this page. TB has a lot background information that needs explaining before people can understand the whole story. And I must point out, this page uses information based mainly on the animation, no the novel. Reception
Can anyone provide facts about the reception of the various inceptions of the series? What age was it aimed at, what was the makeup of the actual audience, what was the critical response, how many copies sold / viewers tuned in, etc? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.135.188.192 (talk) 01:03, August 27, 2007 (UTC)
Demographic Genre
The novel is Seinen, but the manga is released in Asuka and as such clearly Shoujo. enini
C or K?
Can anyone confirm whether or not Crusnik is spelled as such or as Krusnik?
Crusnik is spelled with a C. Found In an offical wallpaper at http://www.trinityblood.tv/wallpapers/large/TrinityBlood_005.jpg
"this article is based on the anime"
There appears to be a fair amount of information here that does not relate to the anime as far as am I aware of the story, e.g. Caterina and Tres joinig the Rosenkreuz Orden. Assuming this information comes from the manga or the novels, then it should be on those pages or on the canon page, not here. Shiroi Hane 14:19, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
- If the anime and novel descriptions must be in separate articles, then following Wikipedia naming precedence convention, the main Trinity Blood article should describe the novel, since it is the origin of the series. But I'm not convinced they need to be in separate articles--most other series such as Slayers etc. are not broken into different articles. pfahlstrom 21:42, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
- At the time I wrote the conmment there was a line that read "this article is based on the anime" at the top of the page, there is an article specifically about the novels, Trinity Blood (novel), and there was also Trinity Blood Canon (which has been deleted). Shiroi Hane 16:30, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
- It would probably be helpful to differentiate between the release of the Trinity Blood manga and the translated version of the original novels, which are two seperate books entirely. Instead of listing the manga, which is stated to already be released, under the novel release section, it would be more informative to put it under a manga release category. The actual novel, according to Amazon.com, is to be released August 7, 2007[1].Catmoongirl 23:39, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Is the story still being made. Or is it currently finished? -- Psi edit 02:45, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- ithink the story is stll being done, but the original novels are over as the aurthor has died. and it is being continued by a different person Shinigami Josh 00:44, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
trivia
the character in the first episode named jessica is very much like viki from the video game suikoden, they both look alike, they are clumsy and they both have some way of transporting one place to another (with the fact that jessica can pilot an airship) and the only thing is, is that jessica is smarter than viki.
plot
After reading this article, I have a good idea of the characters and the setting, but I have almost no idea what any of these people are doing and how they're all involved in an interconnected story. Can somebody with knowledge of Trinity Blood add a plot section to explain what's going on?
- the majority of the anime arc is about the vatican comming to peace with the New Human Empire, and then towards the end, the new queen of albion Shinigami Josh 00:44, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
Methuselahs = result of nanotechnology rather then virus?
I have recently found [this translation] which implies that the "virus" responisble for Metuselahs' existence is nanomechanical in origin.
Can that source be considered viable?--The Fifth Horseman 12:45, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
Technically, the reason why Methuseluhs are vampiric is due to a specialized mutant bacteria (known as Bacillus) rather than a virus or nanomachine. However, the Crusniks use highly advanced semi-sentient nanomachines instead (hence their lack of vampiric weaknesses), and the Bacillus was originally created [by said nanomachines] to act as a food source [for said nanomachines]. --Zenosaga 21:22, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Music?
Is there a Trinity Blood audio CD with the songs and music from the anime? 69.179.188.152 16:43, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
- Most of the songs are on a CD with a title something like Trinity Blood OST: TB_Music File. The songs for the opening and closing are available on their respective singles. Note that the opening theme was not composed by Takahito Eguchi like the closing and score, and that a couple of notable songs from the score are not on the album. --E Liquere 22:29, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Any news on another season?
So does anyone have any news on whether there will be another season? It ended with one of the biggest cliffhangers of any anime I've ever seen. They could at least make a movie... Link's Awakening 06:59, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
Episode notability
Many or all of the existing individual episode pages for this series appear to fail the notability guidelines for television episodes, and have been tagged accordingly. These articles can be improved through the inclusion of real-world information from reliable sources to assert notability. Overly long plot summaries should be edited, to a maximum length of approximately ten words per minute of screen time. Trivia should be integrated into the body of the article, or removed if it is not directly relevant. Quotes and images should only be used as part of a critical analysis of the episode. You might also consider merging any notable information onto the show's "List of episodes" or season pages. Otherwise, when these pages come up for review in fourteen days, they may be redirected, merged or deleted. If you want any help or further information, then come to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Television/Episode coverage. Thanks. TTN 00:13, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Regarding Vows
In Trinity Blood, the current pope and those two cardinals are the children of the previous pope, plus a number of clergy (such as Noelle) have made sexual advances. Does the vatican still have compulsory vows of celibacy? Is it no longer required or do they just regularly violate it?
Byzantium The Empire Capital?
Wasn't Byzantium just the place that connected the two nations?
Byzantium, or Istanbul as it is called today, was the capital of the Ottoman Empire, which controlled practically all the cities that is under control the Empire in the anime. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.6.102.92 (talk) 22:34, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
"It is important to note, however, that Ion Fortuna (Earl of Memphis), a Methusela that is featured in a number of episodes, does not display this power at all."
In the scene where he's captured and shot with the bullet which turns him hyper-vampiric, and he's begging what's-her-face to kill him, he *appears* to have blade-like claws. So although he never displays this ability otherwise, he seems to possess it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.248.181.45 (talk) 02:38, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
Future
I'm sorry to use this for idle chitchat. It's just that I'm a fan of this anime, and I was wondering if the novelization is currently being continued? If so, do you guys think that the anime will continue? ('cause I hope so) Sirius85 20:26, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

Demographic
Is this a Shojo? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.229.2.86 (talk) 18:25, March 2, 2008 (UTC)
- The anime is seinen. I haven't read the manga, but the article says it's shoujo. I added the anime's demographic to the infobox. --Eruhildo (talk) 01:08, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- The Trinity Blood novels are seinen. The manga version is shojo. Anime series don't have demographics, hence it not being in the infobox. If one were to guess, it would probably closer to shonen or seinen. AnmaFinotera (talk) 01:11, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- Wait, anime don't have demographics? Why not? --Eruhildo (talk) 06:42, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- There was a big long talk about it in the project's MOS, which is resulting in the demographic field being removed from the main box and put only in the manga and light novels. The basic gist of it is that such demographic choices are not generally declared by the original companies and there is no way to really say what the target demographic was. Manga demographics comes from the magazines they are serialized in, while unfortunately light novels have been reduced to only allowing "male" and "female" as their demographic (which I disagree with myself, as light novel magazines can also be seinen, shonen, et al.). Here is a link to the discussion Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style (anime- and manga-related articles)#Demographics. AnmaFinotera (talk) 06:51, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, I came across that discussion, but I don't have nearly enough patience to read something that long. So I just skipped to the bottom and thought it was talking about something other than it was. Thanks for summarizing it for me. --Eruhildo (talk) 07:45, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- Wait a minute. How can the manga be shojo? It always said before that it was shonen and even the novels are for males. It does not make sense and the Trinity Blood manga is not even remotely shojo. Just because the characters are feminine looking and Kyujyo Kiyo is a female does not mean it is shojo. I know because I have read it. It is not shojo and I want it to be known that its demographic is shonen. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.225.172.71 (talk) 21:02, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
- Trinity Blood's manga was serialized in a shojo magazine. That is the sole determiner of whether it is shojo, not the author nor the appearance of the character. AnmaFinotera (talk) 21:06, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
Novel demographic
I don't feel we should label the light novel as "male", as it's too vague a demographic to give. We should wait until an idea is settled before changing it to either shounen or seinen. I made the mistake earlier of changing it to seinen before realising that there was a dispute over whether or not it is seinen or shounen. AjaaniSherisu (talk) 23:48, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
- But be it a male oriented light novel is not disputed. I'm returning the male in the demographic field. --ChuChu (talk) 23:39, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry about that ^_^, I didn't read the talk page about light novel demographics before I changed it ^_^. I was about to edit it back, but thank you for doing it ^_^. AjaaniSherisu (talk) 23:48, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
- No problem :) --ChuChu (talk) 00:03, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

- Personally, I agree that it should be seinen, but the project consensus is that for light novel demographics, we will only use male or female, hence it being changed to male here. AnmaFinotera (talk) 00:27, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
- There are light novels aimed at teenage boys, and they are mentioned by the publisher as so, in this case I would like to use: demographic = teenage boys, or even use shounen. like Ginban Kaleidoscope and Happy Seven, but to avoid any more heated discussions using male is fine with me too. --ChuChu (talk) 12:04, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
Reassessment
I have proposed a reassessment of this article at WP:ASSESS. --MahaPanta (talk) 20:23, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- Alrighty. I've been working on this one awhile. There is still much to do before a peer review, which is probably why its still at start. I never like to reassess articles I work on myself to B ;-), but I welcome outside review to see if it may be B now. AnmaFinotera (talk) 20:31, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- I believe it is now B class. I also believe if we focus on WP:GA?, we can get this article up to a Good Article by the end of April. --MahaPanta (talk) 21:56, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- My eventual goal is FA, however the novels and manga are still coming out here, hence my not pressing towards it too rapidly as I want it to be complete and accurate. The novels are the primary medium, but currently the plot and characters are almost exclusively anime focused as it the anime was licensed and released here first. AnmaFinotera (talk) 21:59, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- Mine too, but lets take this one step at a time. I'll go ahead and nominate it for WP:GA?, but we need to work on the reception section before it can become A-Class.--MahaPanta (talk) 22:09, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- Also, sorry about the maintenance box, I have the Fullmetal Alchemist article up in another tab. I fixed all the references and nominating it for WP:GA?. and that's where I meant to put the box.--MahaPanta (talk) 22:12, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- Please don't nominate it for GA. It is not ready. It needs more referencing and some other things before it will be ready. AnmaFinotera (talk) 22:19, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Guys, I just took a look at the article and I have re-assessed it B class. It still has a bit of work needed before it gets to GA class but as MahaPanta said at Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Assessment this is defiantly no longer star class. Keep up the good work on this article, --Mifter (talk) 16:15, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
Words from European languages used in Trinity Blood
There are lots of words from various European languages used in Trinity Blood.
- I live in Slovenia and I know for certain that the word "dinar" used for currency was also the currency in Slovenia, while it was still part of Yugoslavia (until 1991).
- The name "Mother Laura Vitez" (the one who raised Sister Esther) also uses a Slovenian word - "vitez" means "knight" in Slovenian.
- The word "Crusnik" probably stems from the word "Kresnik" in Slovenian and Croatian lore (I read this explanation in the anime).
- The name "Count Zagreb" - Zagreb is the capitol city of Croatia.
Should this information be mentioned in the article? Perhaps native speakers of other European languages could identify even more such words? JinJi (talk) 17:28, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
Connection???
Does anybody know if the way Able activates his Crusnik powers, relates to the way Alucard of Hellsing use is his powers through release states?--AKIRA70 (talk) 21:19, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
- Not at all. Different series. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 21:12, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
- I know that these are diffrent series, what I meant is there any common writers or producers (Other than GONZO) that could have passed on that concept? Or whether one show influenced another?--AKIRA70 (talk) 21:19, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
- No idea, and this isn't the place to discuss. Wikipedia is WP:NOTAFORUM. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 21:26, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
Shouldn't be. I have read the WP:NOTAFORUM article and how it says that the talk page is the place for making the article better and for relevant items for discussion; that is why I asked the question. To may be see if anyone knew an relation between two different works and how they might have been a significant connection in character or concept design. Such as the works Blade Runner and Total Recall are influenced by the author Philip K. Dick. And how WiKi clearly states them in the articles.--AKIRA70 (talk) 21:42, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
- Its only relevant if there are reliable sources that validate such a connection. There are none. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 21:56, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
Thats why I ask the question on the Talk Page, to see if anyones does indeed have any reliable sources or connection. I guess I should have been more specific in my question.--AKIRA70 (talk) 22:00, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
