Batcave?

[edit]

User Spinerod has repeatedly added to this article a mention that the "Batcave" scenes of The Dark Knight were filmed in the basement. Lacking a reliable source, I and other editors have reverted this edit. Spinerod replied to me with this:

While visiting Chicago, I happened to go to the tower and a security guard told us the history of the building. The guard told us about the money map that was behind him and since it was around the release of The Dark Knight, he mentioned that they filmed the batcave scenes down in the basement of the building. The batcave in the movie is actually a bunker underground very believable to be a basement. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Spinerod (talk • contribs) 00:56, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

I reverted the edit again, with the comment that "I heard it from a security guard" is original research, not verifiable, and needs a reliable source. Spinerod has not replied to my comments, but has added the information twice over. I'm trying to avoid an edit war, but am concerned that this may be an urban myth. Okay, here's a firm counter-argument: the Chicago Tribune itself does not mention it in its 'Dark Knight' locations: Chicago as Gotham article. Kevin Forsyth (talk) 21:26, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
