The result of the move request was: To be moved since the question challenging the uncontroversial technical request was well answered and there were no further objections. I'll do the G6 speedy on the redirect. (non-admin closure) Dicklyon (talk) 01:20, 19 April 2016 (UTC)
Treaty of Monçon → Treaty of Monzón – More common name for the treaty. The city itself is Monzón and it was and is in Spain. – Srnec (talk) 02:26, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
Moved from RMTR speedy move
[edit]- Objection to RMTR speedy move Was the city spelled that way back in the 1600s when the Treaty was signed? Many places have changed names and spellings over centuries that have passed; As this is a treaty between the Papal States and France, the Latin, Italian, or French, spellings would seem to be more proper than the Spanish spelling. A simple Google Search shows a preference for the current spelling over the proposed spelling. -- 70.51.46.39 (talk) 04:43, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
- It was a treaty between France and Spain. Srnec (talk) 14:44, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Srnec and 70.51.46.39: This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 06:35, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
