Neutrality of the topic
[edit]I think that there is more information to be added to the "Measures taken" section. There were many campaigns for road safety that were followed in India, even though these efforts are spread over many years. National Road Safety Week, varous school competitions held on road safety etc. should be mentioned. Traffic accidents in India → Traffic collisions in India – This name will be more consistent with the main article (which is at traffic collision, not traffic accident) and will match the bolded text currently at the start of the article itself. It will also address the neutrality issues raised by "accidents", which characterizes collisions as happenstance and can ignore the other factors often involved (here's a Washington Post article discussing that issue). {{u|Sdkb}} talk 01:29, 19 July 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose are accidents which are not collisions excluded? In ictu oculi (talk) 08:37, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
- It's fairly hard to think of any sort of incident that might qualify as an accident but not a collision. If we do want to look at such an incident (let's say a vehicle malfunction that did not result in any sort of crash), then yes, the longstanding use of the word "collision" throughout the intro, data table, etc. makes it clear that such an incident would not be within the scope of this article. {{u|Sdkb}} talk 09:26, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
- Support. The past moves appear to have been bold. The broader topic would be titled "road incidents" and that would include protesters blocking traffic, trucks spilling their cargo, cars "colliding with water" etc. – wbm1058 (talk) 04:13, 27 July 2020 (UTC)

commas
[edit]Could someone please explain the comma placement in the 'Statistics' chart? I must be missing something.... Heavenlyblue (talk) 05:55, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
