Was the first Toyota Prius based off of this car? They look somewhat similar in that hideous and boring kind of way. BeauvilleSHS 02:33, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Translation of "platz"

[edit]

The German word "Platz" does not only mean "square", but also "space" or "room". (I ought to know - I am German) Probably this is what Toyota meant: that this car allegedly has a lot of space for passengers, luggage etc. --84.181.220.118 (talk) 12:04, 4 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Canada coupe model year

[edit]

I have a 4 door Echo I bought new in Canada, 2004 model year - the claim that 2003 was the last model year seems a bit odd. The only difficulty we had in ordering at the dealer was our request for 5 speed, no a/c (not popular outside of Quebec, apparently). It doesn't really matter and I don't care enough to make the edit, but I wonder what the source for that statement was. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.236.62.82 (talk) 02:59, 5 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The article claims the Echo coupe ended sales for the 2003 model year. It does not mention the sedan. OSX (talkcontributions) 04:20, 5 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
