Tovaria fusca Baker (Convallariaceae) J. Linn. Soc., Bot. 14: 568. 1875 is an illegal name of Smilacina fusca. The second species in the genus Tovaria is the Jamaican T. diffusa Fawc. & Rendle Fl. Jamaica 3: 246 1914
