Dispute Guitar World #97 ranking
[edit]The present lede notes, without citation: "A guitar virtuoso, Guitar World ranks Abasi at #97 on their list of 100 Greatest Guitarists of all time."
While he is clearly a virtuoso, described as such in numerous sources, I have been unable to verify the remainder of the assertion. Guitar World does report on the polling from Total Guitar, but that article does not provide a 1–100 ranking of guitarists overall, and lists Abasi only as an unnumbered "TG Pick" on 5 after the top 10 "shredders."
Without a verifiable link to some previous ranking (live or archived) showing Abasi at #97, with an appropriate citation and explanatory text, it appears that this assertion needs to be removed or heavily modified.

- ETA: it looks like this sentence was added anonymously in 2017, so if someone can find a ranking for that year or earlier, that may provide the proper citation. I've been unable to find such. —Geoff Capp (talk) 21:10, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
