Suspected original research
[edit]I suspect that this comment is rather too like original research to feature, and also I'm not sure it's correct:
Tony is believed to be the inspiration for an Alan Partridge sketch, shown on satirical comedy The Day Today, in which Steve Coogan's sports reporter character interviews a female rally driver in a patronising manner.
The scene in The Day Today [1] is more a spoof of a typical newsreader/sports presenter interviewing a rally driver - Alan is frightened by the ride, whereas Tony Mason was an experienced co-driver. Bob talk 00:31, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
Is Tony Mason related to the musician Nick Mason? They look alike and have a common interest in motorsport and classic cars. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Seftelcm (talk • contribs) 10:07, 10 May 2015 (UTC)
- they could be... Nick's Paternal side was from Birmingham and goes back to (eventually) Rowland Hill, creator of the modern Post office. 86.166.144.242 (talk) 09:57, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
