Greetings. I'll be reviewing this article against the GA criteria. Lizard (talk) 16:23, 13 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose, spelling, and grammar): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (reference section): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR): d (copyvio and plagiarism):
    No copyvio or plagiarism detected.
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images and other media, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free content have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
I think this is pretty close to GA standards. Some suggestions:
  • The "Life and playing career" section could be split into multiple sections, or sub-sectioned.
  • The "Regular season and playoffs" heading can be removed as it's superfluous.
  • "Canadian" is a well-enough known term that it need not be linked in the lead section, per WP:CONTEXTLINK.
  • Phillips' father, James Phillip... Name change or typo?
  • ...prior to the 1909 hockey season played with Edmonton of the AAHA. Alberta Amateur Hockey Association should be spelled out on first usage, with AAHA following in parentheses.
  • There's a few instances where integers greater than nine are spelled out and a few instances where they're given as numerals. Either way is correct per MOS:NUMERAL, but it should be consistent.
Addressed everything here. Added subheadings, but much like before I'm uncertain about how they work here, so your views on whether they are appropriate here are welcome. Anything else just let me know. Kaiser matias (talk) 09:42, 17 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good to me. Personally I'd split the main sections into "Early life" and "Playing career," but these seem to have some overlap (unlike the articles I usually work on) so it's your call. But anyway, the article is passed. Good work. Lizard (talk) 13:03, 17 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
