I have noticed that editor 00GreenMJ yesterday removed an entry I made about comments Tom Hunt had made in the East Anglian Daily Times. The reason given was that they were "immature and politically bias/not politically balanced." This removal was without any reference to me. I consider the entry should be reinstated as it is entirely factual. Hunt did write the article mentioned and was criticised by ISCRE and the Suffolk Police and Crime Commissioner. Hunt's constituents are entitled to see this information on Wikipedia. I cannot see how the entry is either "immature" or in some way politically unbalanced. Hunt did, in a later article in the local press, state himself that he entirely stood by the contents of his first article.
The 00GreenMJ edit does seem to be by a supporter of Mr Hunt. Wikipedia biographies are not supposed to be hagiographies. As an MP, Hunt should expect criticism together with praise where it is due. I am sure that if he were approached, he would not want to have the biography censored in this way.
I believe that the time has come to move this to the primary article. As a sitting MP, he is likely to be far more relevant than a deceased oil baron . Lenzar (talk) 11:41, 11 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
