The result of the proposal was not moved as the current title appears to be the common name.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 12:28, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
Tomás Martínez → Tomás Martínez Guerrero – To reflect the correct name of the individual who is the subject of the article. Fiddlywick (talk) 03:35, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose - Per WP:COMMONNAME, No different than William Jefferson Clinton, Bill Clinton. Redirect with "full" name and is spelled out in lede.--Education does not equal common sense. 我不在乎 19:58, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose - this had a "refs needed" tag on it since 2009, 2 now supplied. Guerrero is his mother's name so the article should stay where it is. btw Fiddlywick, welcome to Wikipedia. A new article for creation on Thomas Martinez (civil rights activist) would need a disambiguator in the title since he would not be primary subject, something appropriate to Category:Activists for Hispanic and Latino American civil rights. Cheers. In ictu oculi (talk) 01:29, 2 August 2012 (UTC)

Tomás Martínez → Tomás Martínez (President of Nicaragua) – not a WP:PRIMARYTOPIC Joeykai (talk) 01:50, 15 August 2020 (UTC)—Relisting. -- Dane talk 16:52, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
- Support Tomás Martínez (politician), I don't think (President of Nicaragua) is a reasonable disambiguator. Make DAB at base name.--Ortizesp (talk) 05:52, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose. This man was the leader of a nation state for ten years, and we're comparing him with a present-day footballer who hasn't even appeared for his national first team yet? That's pure WP:RECENTISM, and the Nicaraguan president is hands down the primary topic by the long-term significance criterion. — Amakuru (talk) 07:22, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose Obviously the President of a sovereign country is the primary topic, per long-term significance, when the only other article is a virtually-unknown young footballer. Neodop (talk) 16:10, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose, the other subject does not yet have so much long term significance that a dab would be required here. – Thjarkur (talk) 14:38, 30 August 2020 (UTC)
