Factual Updates

[edit]

In the opening paragraph...

- The second sentence should say that TARTA has more than 30 bus routes in and round the Toledo area... (Currently says more than 50). Source: http://www.tarta.com/how-to-ride/about-us/

- Second sentence also should have number of passengers changed. Remove "almost 5 million" and replace with "approximately 3.5 million"

-After the first paragraph, insert a paragraph about the new TARTA Tracker: "In 2013, TARTA launched TARTA Tracker, which uses satellites and predictive computer software to identify bus locations in real-time and to anticipate arrival times of buses at various stop, also in real-time. TARTA Tracker is available in a desktop/laptop edition, mobile edition - both at www.TARTATracker.com – and a phone edition at 419-243-RIDE (7433)." In the fact box to the right, change the chief executives. Remove James Bohn and Harry Morell. Replace with James Gee, general manager and Bonita Johnson, board president

In "Routes" section...

- remove Perrysburg from first line (source: http://www.toledoblade.com/Our-Town-News/2012/11/07/Perrysburg-voters-reject-transit-levy.html)

- just after "home baseball games," add "and the Huntington Center for all home Toledo Walleye hockey games (source: http://www.tarta.com/rider-services/game-shuttle-walleye/)

- change to Lourdes University

Please remove the route list. This changes several times each year and is currently outdated.

Replace the Biodiesel Study section with a "Green Initiatives" section, which should include several bullet points:

-All TARTA buses fueled by biodiesel

-Participated in a study conducted by the Intermodal Transportation Institute at The University of Toledo to investigate the impacts of using a mixture of renewable biofuel and diesel fuel

-TARPS facility features solar and geothermal technology

-Sustainability Commitment with the American Public Transportation Association

-Member of the Toledo-Lucas County Sustainability Commission (Source for all of above: http://www.tarta.com/alerts-news/sustainability-commitment/)

Finally, in the External Links section, please add a bullet for TARTA Tracker, www.TARTATracker.com Kellyhancock (talk) 14:09, 8 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This has been outstanding for more than two weeks; please advise on next steps. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kellyhancock (talkcontribs) 21:55, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I think the proposed changes are reasonable. Could you introduce them and refer to the talk page in the edit summary?--Ymblanter (talk) 06:49, 17 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
On the secont thought, I better do it myself.--Ymblanter (talk) 06:49, 17 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
