Title of honor → Title of honour – Please see consensus of the article honour on Wikipedia. Chicbyaccident (talk) 11:17, 5 March 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose per
MOS:RETAINWikipedia:TITLEVAR; this article's title was written in American English and there is no reason to change it to British. Pppery 14:44, 5 March 2017 (UTC)
- MOS:RETAIN does not apply to article titles. The relevant policy is WP:TITLEVAR, which is very clear on this matter. It says that varieties of English in article titles should not be changed across the encylopaedia have an artificial consistency. I.e., having color gel and colour state is acceptable and sensible. Therefore, I must oppose this proposal. RGloucester — ☎ 16:12, 5 March 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose – This looks like unnecessary MOS:ENGVAR churning. I also don't see what "consensus of the article honour on Wikipedia" the nominator is referring to. Is this saying there was a move from honor to honour, or just that the honour article uses internally consistent spelling? —BarrelProof (talk) 04:27, 9 March 2017 (UTC)

List cleanup
[edit]The list of honorary titles seems to have picked up a few occupational names, such as Police Chief and Fire Chief. I'd argue that job titles are not honorary, but merely discriptive--condsider Physician vs. Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Any opposition? Tadzweil (talk) 03:45, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
