Pre-1840
[edit]Auckland did not exist before 1840, therefore what happened in the area before that date does not constitute part of its timeline. If anywhere, that info would belong in the general discussion of the history of the Auckland area. DerbyCountyinNZ (Talk Contribs) 03:37, 14 February 2024 (UTC)
- @DerbyCountyinNZ: Every timeline article on a city I've seen discusses events that are pre-establishment of the city. By having only post-1840 events, this ignores hundreds of years of indigenous history. --Prosperosity (talk) 03:44, 14 February 2024 (UTC)
