Requested move 14 September 2017
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: not moved on the first proposal no consensus on the second. The no consensus defaults to the page staying at the stable title. (non-admin closure) TonyBallioni (talk) 04:27, 28 September 2017 (UTC)
– Most subjects on the dab page with articles are "3 Words", with the number, which does not just make the album the primary topic. JE98 (talk) 01:48, 14 September 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose the first; support the second: Most of the topics listed on the dab page (currently) use "Three", not "3", and Wikipedia WP:MOSNUM convention and typical English writing usage is to MOS:SPELL09. 3 Words should be a redirect to the dab page. —BarrelProof (talk) 20:36, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose, oppose. "3" and "Three" aren't the same. The album is already the primary topic for "3 ..." and there is current no primary topic for "Three ...". I might support the book as primary topic for "Three ..." as the only article with that title, but that's not proposed here. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 07:20, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
- The album does not seem clearly primary relative to the song. It does get more views, but not by a huge ratio, and its number of views may be inflated by its positioning at the base name. —BarrelProof (talk) 18:55, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose. The album gets 74.8% of the page views compared to the song, the only other topic titled "3 Words" with the numeral "3". It even gets 61.1% of the views when all the topics with related names are included.[1]--Cúchullain t/c 19:57, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose first, support second per Barrelproof. "Three Words" and "3 Words" are not a candidate for WP:SMALLDETAILS, they are just two ways of writing the same thing. And the song was a major charting song in its own right, so we can't say the album is primary over it. — Amakuru (talk) 12:46, 27 September 2017 (UTC)
