I have made amendments to his personel life

[edit]

I noted that the address he lived at was recorded as 30 Adeline St. I have aqmended that to 3 Adeline St. I am the great grandson to this man. As a child I grew up with his son, also a bike rider, Frederick Charles Gascoyne who is my grandfather, we visited the family house then lived in by his sister many times. I recall that Fredick, now that Thomas had deaceased, spoke of the hard upbringing he had and regularly was sent to steal coal for winter heat before school from "Across the road" at the rail station which is still there. He would then be late for school and get a beating from the teacher but told the teacher why. I recall visiting many times and walking the street alone as a young 4 to 5 years old, it was next to a laneway and my grandfather, always an adventourous character and survivor, had some interesting dealing with a man whose business backed onto the laneway two doors up. I have now checked the map, 30 Adeline St never existed. I can confirm it was actually 3 Adeline St. This house had a small rear outside pergola area without doors and windows and a concrete floor, no heating or lighting, the four boys of the family shared that room as thier bedroom. My father also spoke of it before his death and I confirm I am correct.

I also have Thomas Jepson Gascoyne and his brothers bike riding medals if family or a museum is interested, I would like them to remain long after I am gone. Please agy Gascoyne that wants to get in contact please do so.
