Disabmbiguation
[edit]- It's very difficult to understand what is going on with this page. Many months ago this page was unorganized, badly written, badly linked with no verifiablity. Over the past several months there has appeared a much better written, seemingly accurate, reasonable contribution. In the last week this contribution has been blasted away and again replaced with a poor contribution, leading to a "Speedy deletion" notice. Confusing matter more, it has been split into two pages.
- Disambiguation may not make sense as it is obvious from the various links that both "Thom Wolf (pastor)" and "Thom Wolf (educator)" are the same person.
- For now I will undo all these changes and request another editor to provide feedback. Usernow (talk) 19:43, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing that out, looking at the two completely different versions, [1] and [2], I actually saw two different biographies which prompted me to split. I missed the intermediate version. Part of the content comes from this resume [3]that doesn't even mention his earlier past. I now see the website that makes the connection. Sorry for messing things up even further. I'll now clean-up, starting with deleting the duplicate page Thom Wolf (educator) that I split off myself and merging back the history from Thom Wolf (pastor) here.--Tikiwont (talk) 20:49, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- Done with cleaning up after myself. At least we're technically fine, but I am still somewhat confused her, e.g. why Tylerhoehne would replace all content with a resume saying that it was previously false information. Which reliable sources do we have here anyway, considering that this has been deleted in the past? This link at WCC clearly indicates, they are the same person and beyond both articles are short of relaible sources.[4]. This links got lost at some point and now also the photo has been romved. --Tikiwont (talk) 21:27, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks, Tikiwont. I agree. It appears like the new edits (by Tylerhoehne are formatted very much like a resume vs. wikipedia. It's tough sometimes with all the edits flying back and forth. There is still some cleanup to do here, but isn't that always the case? - Usernow (talk) 00:46, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
Well, now Spokemain has split things up into two bios again and after some moving they are at Thomas A Wolf and Thom Wolf respectively. --Tikiwont (talk) 09:31, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
I have made what I think is good edit of Thom Wolf (Thom_Wolf). This is the only page that should remain for this person.
The pages Thomas A Wolf (Thomas_A_Wolf), Thomas_A_Wolf_(pastor) and Thom_Wolf_(pastor) need to be deleted. I don't seem to know how to do this without causing havoc. Can you help here? Spokemain (talk) 07:32, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Well, good that we all agree that there is only one person. In any case we cannot simply delete the other pages because they contain the edit history for attribution and indications of moves. I've merged the history back once more. The other entries will redirect here. How much weight to give to the early years is en editorial decision decided bey editorial consensus taking into account available independent sources. --Tikiwont (talk) 10:10, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Removing Deletion Election
[edit]- This no longer seems to be at issue as the date, 2007-03-30, has come and gone a long time ago Usernow (talk) 04:35, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
POV Tag
[edit]- I am removing the POV tag. After discussion with Lyonscc
It is unclear why the tag was added as "... the discussion page doesn't seem to shed any light on controversy/neutrality, and the language in the article doesn't seem to suggest a strong POV."Usernow (talk) 04:35, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
The usage of Tom Wolf (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) is under discussion, see Talk:Thomas W. Wolf -- 70.50.151.11 (talk) 05:56, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
