[edit]A tag has been placed on Thirumavalavan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Thararaj 18:22, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit]On the continuation of Thararaj and few others contributions, I have posted more informations to this article about Thirumavalavan. As per rules and guidlines of Wikipedia, I have put my insertions within a limit of Neutrality.
He (Thirumavalavan) is a wellknown personality in Tamil Nadu, for his uncompromised struggles against cast system in Hindu Society. In his earlier days, he was sticking with his principle of Non-Election campaigns and struggles. Later changes his way and participating in Election Politics since 1999.
As we trying to know about him and his movement, we are in the move of knowing about descriminations of human being by their birth, labour, race, etc.
If you know a bit about him, please don't forget to put it. (Be unbiosed) Velkumart (talk) 21:02, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

"Thol."?
[edit]What is 'Thol' and why does it have a full stop (.) after it? If it's an honorific or title of some sort, then perhaps it could be wikilinked or otherwise clarified. If it's the abbreviated form of a name, then it should probably be spelled out in full at least once. As it stands, it's confusing IMO. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:55, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
- DoubleGrazing, it's neither. It's an abbreviated form of his father's name which acts as the initials of his name. It shouldn't be spelled out in full since it's never used in full in his name. Tayi Arajakate Talk 10:11, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Tayi Arajakate: Okay, thanks for helping me understand that. :) I'll remove the clarify tag, and maybe add an explanatory note to that effect. Cheers, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:23, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
