@Plantdrew: Hi! Thank you for your edits!
I'd just like to talk about the importance of this article. I'm not trying to, like, impose my point of view, but I chose "Mid importance" using Category:Mid-importance taxonomic articles, which states "Typically, taxonomic genera and species would be of Mid importance".
So could you explain to me why you think it should be "Low importance"?
Thanks a lot, Thouny(talk), on 08:31, 17 June 2014 (UTC)
@Thouny: Importance is pretty subjective, and choosing an importance isn't very well documented. WikiProject Plants importance and WikiProject Tree of Life importance are described in a sentence or two. The system of "genera and species would be of Mid importance" does not reflect typical practices. For plants, importance is typically Low for most genera and species. Importance of Mid or higher is usually for plant used by humans in some way, or plants with significant ecological impact. A typical wildflower is Low importance. I don't know, T. rodwayi might be of a little higher than usual human interest because of it's rarity, but I lean towards classifying it as Low importance.
