Post-election Results
[edit]Now that the election is (long) over, it seems like the relevant ordering of candidates should be total votes, not ballot access. Redeemedmonkeycma (talk) 17:21, 25 September 2020 (UTC)

Requested move 11 June 2024
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: Procedural close as moved. There was already a well-attended RM at Talk:Third party and independent candidates for the 2016 United States presidential election/Archive 2 which established that this should be hyphenated, and it also matches the guidelines, so I don't see a need for a full RM. The 2020 move away from the agreed title was undiscussed and should be reversed here. — Amakuru (talk) 16:18, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
- Third party and independent candidates for the 2012 United States presidential election → Third-party and independent candidates for the 2012 United States presidential election
- Third party and independent candidates for the 2016 United States presidential election → Third-party and independent candidates for the 2016 United States presidential election
- Third party and independent candidates for the 2020 United States presidential election → Third-party and independent candidates for the 2020 United States presidential election
- Third party and independent candidates for the 2024 United States presidential election → Third-party and independent candidates for the 2024 United States presidential election
– "Third party" is a compound modifier as it's used here, so should be "Third-party". The 1996 and 2008 articles have this format. A redirect is in the way in two of these cases, hence the RM. HandsomeFella (talk) 15:20, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
