There She Is Step Zero
[edit]Amalloc has spoken several times about a Step0 That was supposed to make it onto DVD and can apparently be found within the depths of the internet. Some screenshots appear on his blog. http://www.sambakza.net/xe/BulletinBoard/16981 http://amalloc.egloos.com/4203308 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.93.35.219 (talk) 21:51, 27 April 2017 (UTC)
Show?
[edit]Is There she is!! an actual show in Korea or is it just an internet flash video? DemonicCow9852 16:03, 1 January 2006 (UTC)DemonicCow9852DemonicCow9852 16:03, 1 January 2006 (UTC) i'm almost totaly certain that it's an internet only thing.
No, There She Is is just an internet flash series. Ceil-Sama (talk) 02:00, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
Justification for the Article
[edit]Before anybody asks, because I already had a problem with somebody speedy-deleting the article... I would like to note that another popular Newgrounds flash submission series, Retarded Animal Babies, has an undisputed article here. --Kitch 11:30, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)

"Furry Themed"?
[edit]I removed that for reasons made clear in the discussion page for There she is!! Step 2 - Cake Dance. --Kinoko 1 July 2005 14:23 (UTC)
- That discussion page seems to be gone, since the page itself was nuked. Nevertheless, in 2005 Cake Dance won an Ursa Major award (self-described furry fandom equivalent to the Hugo) for Best Dramatic Short Work or Series, per http://www.ursamajorawards.org/UMA_2005.htm beating out the Disney series "American Dragon: Jake Long" and other nominees. It would be good for completeness sake to see mention of the award added to the list of other awards on this page. The wiki page SamBakZa also mentions this award (odd that SamBakZa is not linked to or referenced anywhere in this page). Roothroo (talk) 01:34, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
- If all that is true, then wouldn't that make the article notable? I mean, just because it is a Flash only series, doesn't really change much these days with so many independent film makers publishing online only. When a series ranks higher than one on television that alone should make it notable. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.81.68.147 (talk) 19:53, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Incorrect information
[edit]불독맨션 does not translate to "happy birthday to me", it translates to something close to the English pronounciation of "Bulldog Mansion".
I am moving the part in question to here until someone translates it correctly.
(Korean: 불독맨션)
If that was meant to be the translation of what it really is, feel free to add it back somewhere that makes more sense.
Removed non-notability tag
[edit]I just removed this article's non-notability tag, having added this fact (which I believe proves notability) to the article:
At the 2004 Anima Mundi animation festival in Brazil, this video won first place in both the Web Animation - Professional Jury and Web Animation - Audience divisions, as well as winning the Special Award Anima Mundi Web.
I provided a footnote citing my source of this evidence in the article. Quaerere 16:44, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
Complaint About Description of Episode 2
[edit]It's heavily implied that Gray Rabbit actually brought the Cake for Hana (Gray Rabbit is also seen chasing Hana, much to her dismay, at the end of Episode 1). When Gray Rabbit shows up with the Cake he is actually looking and waving at Hana, note that Nabi comes in and takes the cake from the direction he ISN'T looking and waving. While Nabi eats the cake, probably because she mistakenly belives it was for her, much of the rest of the guests look away in shame. After Doki eventually makes it there with his Cake we see a scene of Gray Rabbit attemptint to give Hana flowers, only to have Pizza step in the way and block him. Therefore I propose the part that erroneously claims that it was a REPLACEMENT CAKE FOR HER be replaced with a more accurate description of what's going on.
Clovis15 (talk) 09:05, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Furthermore, if you look at the cast page on Sambakza's TSI Website it's implied the most of those people may not necessarilly be family. A good chunk of the people present were part of a band that Hana is the manager of.

Too Much Speculation
[edit]In my opinion, there is way too much speculation in the descriptions of the cartoons, and they're way too detailed, too (particularly "step 3"). I'm a big fan of this series, but wiki isn't just a place for fans to gush about their favorite topics. I just want to see if anyone else agrees before taking out the liberal edit knife. Pro-intermarriage leader
[edit]The leader of the pro group did not change sides from 3 to 4. He was never anti If you look at the picture he is holding in 3 it has black at the top corners. Its something they do on pictures of the dead. So it was kinda like saying "death to anti-intermarriage" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 156.26.172.34 (talk) 22:01, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
Japan/Korea relations? (Step 3 description)
[edit]It talks about this, but is this accurate? I thought I remember reading in the past that the team of SamBakZa meant the cat and rabbit (known now as Nabi and Doki) to be representative of North and South Korea, not Korea and Japan. Read the Korean Reunification article for more information on that. --WarriorofZarona (talk) 14:16, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
Don't revert please.
[edit](cur) (last) 03:36, 8 October 2008 MahaPanta (Talk | contribs) (8,471 bytes) (removing porn link!) (undo) It is not a porn link, Wikipedia is not censored and even articles on shock sites have links and although it sounds weird and I was very surprised to find this easter egg, it is true. To verify: Go to There She Is!! step3 on newgrounds: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/442805 Click on WATCH THIS MOVIE! If you're using FireFox, go to Tools, Page Info, Media, click on the swf file and save it on your hard drive. I can also explain how to save it with IE or using a program if you don't know. Go to http://www.flash-decompiler.com/ and download the demo. It will convert the graphics in black and white and no actionscript, but you'll be able to see the top-left corner image in one frame (forgot which one). As you see, the full version price is high. Is it against the WP rules to give you a link to my crack so you can see that the actionscript for that image is getURL("http://www.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/38560", "_blank"); So, as all the other easter eggs were mentioned and explained this must be too.
Due to vandalism (well, I admit, it is very bizarre, I assume the reason for this Easter egg is that Amalloc is the asian guy in that vid), I went through it again and took a screenshot. Now you know where it is, before that scene right click and press on forward or play to stop, then advance with forward to that frame. Some are still reverting without verifying.
Don't game the system to make yourself look like the victim here. What you keep on repeatedly adding to this article is spam (to put it lightly) and it will not be tolerated, as it is against the spirit of Wikipedia to add something so unnecessarily vulgar to a page about a web cartoon that is suitable for children. 74.230.152.104 (talk) 20:30, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
I won't revert until we reach a consensus. The Easter egg I pointed out can be easily verified in a few minutes, watching There she is!! Step 3 and stopping (right click -> stop) before that scene (look into my screenshot to see what I'm talking about: http://img143.imageshack.us/my.php?image=sswl1.jpg), then advancing frame by frame with right click -> forward. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 1Thracian86 (talk • contribs) 09:38, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
Or unverified in a matter of seconds. Stop it, the image you gave is clearly modified. SpeedBurner (talk) 02:06, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
Really, why didn't you checked it out, as I said, it only takes a few minutes to verify. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.118.181.176 (talk) 22:02, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
Yes, I checked it out, are you satisfied in knowing you killed a few seconds of my life? It doesn't exist, and your wanting of a male sex organ should not be placed here. 99.230.7.159 (talk) 01:00, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
No, you didn't, just do it. And Amalloc is gay (it will be confirmed in there she is step5), not me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.118.180.247 (talk) 17:22, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
Okay, how can you possibly know I didn't? Because I did. You're making an assumption I didn't because of how much of an ass you know you're being. SpeedBurner (talk) 02:54, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
Look at the history of that user's "contributions": nothing but vandalizing this article/talk page (and trying to complain about his vandalism being removed to an admin or two). Should he become active again, I advise reporting him as per WP: VANDAL.

Added some detail
[edit]I probably way overdid it for the description of Step 5's plot. If someone could condense and/or refine it, I'd appreciate it. I felt that the old description lacked some important details, which is why I changed it. Please note that my IP is shared with a number of users at a university. Accepted his flowers?
[edit]The fifth step description is wrong in one detail. The cat obviously didn't accept the Gray Rabbit's flowers as the next panel shows him getting comforted by her bodyguard (while he looks downtrodden anime-style no less). Someone please correct this if you think I am right.
I think you might be right. Changed it :)129.2.175.89 (talk) 13:32, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
Isn't the next panel Pizza and the guy who threw the egg at Doki? - 78.143.208.172 (talk) 19:48, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
- That's what I figured- that he beat the crap out of the egg-thrower and was wiping his egg-stained paw on the guy's head.--68.111.251.45 (talk) 22:20, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
Hana (the cat woman with the fast car) may not have been shown reaching out and taking the flowers, but because she put on a smile instead of a frown indicates that she at least got nicer about turning Gray Rabbit down rather than sicking her bodyguard on him. The impression on the "Characters" link on Amalloc's page at SamBakZa's site indicates that she doesn't like Gray Rabbit any more than Gray Rabbit likes Pizza, judging from the colored arrows. However, that graphic has not changed in ages -- stage 5's ending may not have been accounted for in that image. Since the imagery at the end of stage 5 suggests the blossom of tolerance (or at least, its budding), I believe the artist intended to show Hana having a change of heart.
In any case, I don't think Pizza is beating up Gray Rabbit in the panel immediately afterwards -- Gray is a very big rabbit, and the one Pizza is disciplining is not. The idea that the subject of Pizza's attention at the end is the egg-thrower is far more plausible. Pizza is shown to be looking askance, possibly at what's transpiring between Hana and Gray Rabbit. Intermarriage
[edit]During a few edits (Jan 24, Feb 2, Feb 18) I've been trying to think of something better than "intermarriage" for the article, especially Step 4. Cat-rabbit relationships or interspecies relationships are more accurate but more awkward phrases. Any suggestions? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.111.63.105 (talk) 17:18, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
- Since I saw the first step in late 2003, I always thought of the series as an anti-racism metaphor. Following the Korean War allot of American Soldiers left half American babies. The Cats and Rabbits don't appear to have any problem with each other, and in fact, they seem to join together against the intermarriage. But it's more than simple intermarriage. It's about mixed blood. "Korean War Babies" face allot of hardship and there were allot of problems for Korean Women who had a child with an American. It had nothing to do with Marriage, and in fact, allot of the problems came because they didn't Marry... Evidence of this can be seen in Step 5 "Imagine" where, near the beginning, a white piece of clothe flies past in the wind with the words, written in English, "Pure Blood" so it seems that they were less concerned with intermarriage as they were with preserving Pure Blood. Since the animation is Korean, and "Korean War Babies" are a Korean Issue, that is specifically about "Pure Blood" that's why I came to that conclusion. By telling the story with Animals, like any Metaphor written, it becomes easier for the audience to sympathize with your cause. You see hints of this through the series, and with a break down of society by step 3 as more and more couples begin to break from the norm. Even though there were more than just Doki and Nabi at this point, protesters portray them as either Heroes or Villains, probably because they were the first couple to break from the Norm. While at the end, Doki leaving for Paradise, had her supporters calling her a Traitor while Nabi rips up his ticket for Paradise when he goes after her, emphasizing the importance of standing up and facing the problems around you. If you leave (as many Korean Babies did, trying to find a better place in America) than nothing changes... I took the animation as the best anti-racism video I have ever seen. Paradise is something we have to make for ourselves. The "Happy ending" appeared to come, not with an escape, but with taking a stand to break down the barriers, and it seemed to make the world a better place... That's my interpretation at least. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.81.68.147 (talk) 20:36, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Since the "Pure Blood" references is hard to spot, here are two screen shots from near the beginning of step 5: http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/5339/pureblood.png , http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/9138/pureblood2.png —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.81.68.147 (talk) 20:47, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
I thought this might be the theme as well, but I am friends with the creator and upon asking him, he said he was not sending out any message of anti-racism or supporting gay marriage. His message is rather a simple one. It's love that transcends all time and circumstance. He told me "no matter who we are or where we are, our love would always be the same". That always really stuck with me. There She Is (official) (talk) 18:48, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]"There_she_is!! has been viewed 2699 times in 2010-02." from the history's stats page
I'm fairly sure this article deserves to exist. Deleting tag. Travürsa (talk) 09:42, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

- Oh... Well, the tag has disappeared again... I think because of a topic on the SamBakZaPage titled "Proposed Deletion":
- "I'm removing the proposed deletion... if the "There she is!!" series did in fact win the awards attributed to it on that page, then I would consider the creators of said animation to be notable enough to meet the criteria of WP:WEB. AKADriver 22:30, 13 March 2006 (UTC)"
- Is this sound logic or should the tag be reimplemented?

Official fan panel approved and backed by Amalloc the creator
[edit]There is an official fan panel held every year since 2010 at an anime convention called AnimeNEXT (http://www.animenext.org/) in Somerset, NY by Ben Schoedel and is officially backed by Amalloc who created the There She Is series. At these events, they not only show the entire series on a big screen, but answer questions related to the series and animator. Ben runs and organizes the events through the official There She Is fan page (https://www.facebook.com/SamBakZa.There.She.Is). — Preceding unsigned comment added by There She Is (official) (talk • contribs) 18:33, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
First Place on Newgrounds
[edit]While the claim that the There She Is!! Step 1 has held the title of 1st most viewed video on Newgrounds (I myself saw this around mid-2016), this does not seem to be true at present. Disregarding the strange absence of the video from advanced searches, the video should be outpaced by The Ultimate Showdown and Metal Gear Awesome, if Newgrounds' stat tracking is to be believed.
