Welcome to Wikipedia, Travürsa! I am Marek69 and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Calico "Who"

[edit]

Hi, the reason that I put a "who" on the statement "the beginning of serious study ... seems to have occurred around 1948 when ..." is that the statement is an interpretation, not something that wikipedia does without citing a source. Perhaps one of the cited references makes this interpretation and could be added, but I suspect that a serious work would state it differently. I guess you could say that the "real reason" I did it is that it is rather insulting to any scientists who seriously studied calico cats before that time, such as people who might have studied the genetics but not the cell biology. Re: Marijuana Map

[edit]

Washington and Colorado voted in favour of legalisation yesterday. Granted, the respective laws have not yet come into force, but the official position has changed, and the map should reflect that. ~~ Lothar von Richthofen (talk) 00:37, 8 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

...? The map is inaccurate because it shows WA and CO with their old status. That's all.... ~~ Lothar von Richthofen (talk) 01:31, 8 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I added the tag before the change, and have hit "purge" a half dozen times already. ~~ Lothar von Richthofen (talk) 04:42, 8 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Whoops, there it is now. ~~ Lothar von Richthofen (talk) 04:43, 8 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, there is another thing which slipped my mind: MA should be changed to dark green per the approval of Question 3 [1]. ~~ Lothar von Richthofen (talk) 04:13, 9 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
