Plot
[edit]As someone recently added that they don't get the plot to the plot section, that really needs a tidying up. I have yet to see this film, can anyone clear it up? Andrzejbanas 15:13, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
- Plot section was revised on 21 April 2007. The News Hound 18:25, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Category addition
[edit]"Spanish language films" has been added as a category to this entry-- a bizarre addition, since this is an English-language film in which Spanish (or, possibly, Portuguese, according to a recent edit) is spoken only for a few seconds. Please review the validity of this category addition. The News Hound 18:25, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Barring further discussion or objection, I have removed "Spanish language films" as a category.--The News Hound 04:50, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
- It's definitely Spanish, not Portuguese. Kostaki mou (talk) 01:12, 1 May 2021 (UTC)

Hey, I'm going to be reviewing this article. Expect comments by the end of the week. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 00:44, 25 April 2021 (UTC)
Infobox and lead
[edit]- Can the caption be "Theatrical release poster"?
- Add alt text to the image (WP:ALT).
- Washington, DC → Washington, D.C. (consistency)
- Remove the comma after Lewis Allen.
- Add a comma after Ruth Hussey.
- Add a comma after Harrison's Reports.
- Add a comma after Charlie Parker.
Plot and cast
[edit]- Plot is under 700 words - passes WP:FILMPLOT.
- Right on. Andrzejbanas (talk) 13:45, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
- "grand-daughter" → "granddaughter"
- Dr Scott → Dr. Scott (consistency)
- Add a serial comma after "Rick, Pam" (both uses).
- "The group realize" → "The group realizes"
- Cast section looks good.
- Right on. Andrzejbanas (talk) 13:45, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
Production
[edit]- Here and in other sections, combine citations from the same source.
- Done. I continued having citations where there was a quote though. Andrzejbanas (talk) 16:54, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
- Add a serial comma after "A Matter of Life and Death (1946)".
- "in September 29, 1942" → "on September 29, 1942"
- "October 20th" → "October 20" (MOS:BADDATE)
- Add a comma after "a copy of The Uninvited".
- Add a serial comma after "Allen, Partos".
- Add a comma after "in fact".
Release
[edit]- "for the The" → "for The" (both uses to avoid repetition).
- Other than that, this section looks good.
- Sweet! Andrzejbanas (talk) 16:57, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
- Combine citations from the same source.
- Did this for some here. There's a few that I don't feel should be combined as they combine information from separate sources. But I've believe I've done what you asked. Andrzejbanas (talk) 11:18, 28 April 2021 (UTC)
Reception
[edit]- Lower the usage of quotes with WP:RECEPTION.
Legacy
[edit]- Try shortening the caption as it feels too long.
- Also add alt text (WP:ALT).
References
[edit]- Archive sources.

"Betty Farrington as Voice of Mary Meredith"
[edit]Surely she was the voice of Carmel, not Mary Meredith, though it is not till the end that we know this. She is so listed on IMDb. We never hear Mary Meredith's voice. Kostaki mou (talk) 00:41, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
- Well we dont use IMDb as a source per WP:RS/IMDb. I've double checked my source and did some other searching and several other sources state its Betty Farrington. Can you provide some other back-up? Andrzejbanas (talk) 04:13, 2 May 2021 (UTC)
- The movie itself is a source. Watch it! (I myself did a couple of days ago.) We never hear Mary Meredith's voice. The voice we hear is Carmel's. It is not revealed until near the end that she, not Mary Meredith, is Stella's mother. When Stella says that she now knows this, we hear the voice laughing joyfully. She had been weeping until then. She then departs and the mimosa smell that accompanies her departs with her. (By the way, if you see the film, you will see that Stella is definitely one of the main characters. Then as now, actors and actresses who were not yet well known would frequently be credited at the end (often preceded by "and introducing" or the like) even if they played major roles. It seems to me that you are being needlessly rigid in insisting on following this order, but I'll leave things alone. Kostaki mou (talk) 01:52, 3 May 2021 (UTC)
- I'll be happy to remove the credit on the name here based on your info, but I'd like to keep the credits listed. There's no here or there on what order we should be casting in outside the infobox where we go by the billing block. I'd feel like us re-arranging them to however we feel is proper is probably more inappropriate than following the credited cast as there are no standards in other sections on wikipedia that we choose more promintent cast members to be higher up in casting.
