[edit]Readers might be helped by additional detail around the "oldest independent college student newspaper" distinction. Various U.S. college's newspapers (e.g., Bowdoin, Dartmouth, OWU, Yale) claim to be the oldest by various definitions, including whether they are daily or weekly, have maintained the same name, have published continuously or with gaps, are independent in funding or editorial content, etc. If there is a page describing long-lived U.S. student newspapers, a reference to that page would be enough.
