I will take this. Posting my comments within a week. Cheers, Sainsf (talk · contribs) 03:36, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
- Citations are not needed in lead (unless the claim is a bit controversial) and all facts there should be in main text
- MOS:LEADCITE indicates direct quotations should be cited. ~ RLO1729💬
- Oh yes, I forgot there were direct quotes. Sainsf (talk · contribs) 11:00, 23 April 2020 (UTC)

- The lead can be expanded by a few more lines to give a complete picture of the topic. Definitely mention the founding editor (a bit of his aims is already mentioned), who took over from him later and a bit on the reactions and legacy after it was closed down (
The magazine continues to be valuable to modern scholars
This looks especially relevant to me)
Charles Wilkins (of Merthyr Tydfil)
Do we need to mention the location right here (seems to give me an impression there are multiple Wilkins the readers might confuse)? We do talk about it a few lines later, where it seems more appropriate
The magazine was printed in Cardiff by Daniel Owen & Company.[11][2]
Not a must, but it is preferable to write the refs in a numerical order.
the magazine featured a number of women authors
Any prominent names here?
- If you look at the 3rd, 4th and 5th paras of History, they could really be separated into another section that focuses on the publications and reviews for the magazine. The 6th can stay in History. I can't think of a perfect name for the new section, but it will bring a lot of clarity to the text. I leave this to you, but I strongly recommend doing this.
"At its peak it commanded for the first time the attention of a newly recognised audience for a Welsh periodical in English."
You don't mention where this quote came from
- Refs 9 and 16 could do with |trans-title= and |language= parameters (always translate titles in foreign languages)
- Added lang template and deleted duplicate citation. ~ RLO1729💬
- I'm unable to see the changes.. could you add a diff? Sainsf (talk · contribs) 11:00, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
- It is here. Hovering over citation [9] in the article also brings up a Welsh language indicator pop-up. ~ RLO1729💬 11:13, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
- I think I see the source of the confusion. Ap Ffarmwr is not the title but the author's bardic name so should not need translation. ~ RLO1729💬 11:17, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
- Thank, I see now. Sainsf (talk · contribs) 16:38, 23 April 2020 (UTC)

That's all. No copyvio, dablink, duplink, external link issues found. It was a pleasure reading this :) Sainsf (talk · contribs) 07:02, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
