[edit]The first sentence says "The Professional Geographer was originally a journal of the American Society of Professional Geographers, before it became a journal of the Association of American Geographers in 1949." When was it first published? Languagehat (talk) 14:09, 17 June 2013 (UTC)
- Both Wiley-Blackwell and Routledge give 1949 as the publication date for vol. 1. I have not been able to find any info on a predecessor journal with a possible other title. This info may be available in some history articles in the first two volumes of TPG, but those are behind paywalls by both publishers and I have no access to them. So for the moment I have removed any reference to the ASPG. --Randykitty (talk) 14:05, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
