– Without even considering pageviews gained at The Night We Met, the Lord Huron article overwhelmingly has the primary topic by usage (99% of pageviews). You will also be hard-pressed to find the HomeTown song's usage in reliable sources, which overwhelmingly are in reference to the Lord Huron song. I believe the Lord Huron song is highly likely to be the topic sought when a reader searches for this term, and the other is not. The usage makes evident that Lord Huron's song is the primary topic. American indie rock band Lord Huron released their song "The Night We Met" in February 2015. Irish boy band HomeTown released a song with the same title in October 2015.

The article The Night We Met (HomeTown song) was first created at The Night We Met in December 2016, and accumlated ~600 pageviews through March 2017.[1] Following the inclusion of Lord Huron's track in the 31 March 2017 episode of 13 Reasons Why, that page quickly garnered 6,250 pageviews through the next month[2] and 22,100 through the rest of the year[3]. The article The Night We Met (Lord Huron song) was created on 28 May 2018. The Night We Met was eventually moved to The Night We Met (HomeTown song) on 31 December 2018 [4], with a WP:TWODABS dab page in its place.

Since 2017, Lord Huron's song has repeatedly entered the record charts in several countries, including in Australia, Canada, France, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It was certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America for combined sales and streaming figures exceeding three million units. It was also certified double platinum in the United Kingdom (1.2 million units sold). The song, as of November 11, 2024, has amassed over 2.5 billion streams on Spotify.[5] A staggering feat for an indie song, making it the 42nd most-streamed song of all time on Spotify. Just the audio alone has been viewed over 360 million times on YouTube[6], and the separate lyric video has been viewed 297 million times[7]. Now compare this to the HomeTown article, which indicates its greatest notability is that the song peaked at number 59 for one week on the Irish Singles Chart, and little else.
