gags
[edit]This was part of the Wikipedia article which used to exist but was deleted - only because the content didnt warrant its own article. It may contain material which is useful for the current movie article. Astrokey44|talk 08:47, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
The Naked Gun series that featured Leslie Nielsen had many gags in the three movies. There are many noticeable gags throughout the series (mostly The Smell of Fear), including...
- A woman with 4 sets of knees.
- A Tyrannosaurus rex in one of the police offices.
- In the first love scene between Drebin and Jane, they speak briefly about using protection, and then start to make love wearing giant full-body condoms.
- Drebin, out of control in a police tank, crashes through a zoo wall, freeing all of the animals, which promptly run amok through Washington, D.C.
- When told "Because of you, this city is being overrun by baboons," Drebin responds with "Well...isn't that the fault of the voters?"
- After the movie's climax, the villian lands safely on the ground after being saved after a fall from a very tall building, only to be mauled by an escaped zoo lion.
- When Drebin finally locates and attacks a government consultant imposter in a wheelchair, Chicago Bears players appalled at "the guy beating up a man in a wheelchair," proceed to beat Drebin.
- In a conversation on a car alarm that shoots a metal car boot to a man's crotch and sticks (another gag), the people refer to cities where the alarm was made.
- An undercover Frank and a mobster tunnel out of jail, only to surface in another "dangerous" environment: the grounds of a LA high-school. Each student is equipped with an assortment of heavy weapons, and the two are forced to dodge bullets, hand-grenades, etc.
- A reference to metal history in which the villain shows many types, including aluminum.
- When Frank struggles to put on pants for a wetsuit, they fall like a launched rubber band to the water, ten of them.
- When Frank surfaces, he's in a waste removal bay with rats.
- Trying to escape, Frank accidentally hits a man in the wheelchair with oil, billard balls, and an anvil.
- Through the credits of all three movies, added lines like "There is a Pontiac in the parking lot" are frequent.
- When investigating the crime scene of a man who died by drowning, a chalk outline of the body is visible on the water.
Picture?
[edit]Why is there a picture of Anaheim stadium here? It was not used in the film. Dodger Stadium was.Superstooge 15:51, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
Deleted trivia
[edit]I have deleted the trivia section. I say section - there was only one item in it:
- The image of an entire bullet cartridge in flight on the cover of the movie is inaccurate. Only the bullet is fired out of a gun. This may have been included intentionally, so that Leslie Neilsen would appear to be standing on a phallus.
I thought about removing the OR from it, and incorporating the remainder in the main article:
- The image of an entire bullet cartridge in flight on the cover of the movie is inaccurate. Only the bullet is fired out of a gun.
...but to be honest, it wasn't worth it. StephenBuxton 11:57, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
The title was not in any way intended to spoof "The Nude Bomb." David Zucker himself said at a recent screening in Los Angeles of both Naked Gun and Naked Gun 2 1/2 that he and the writers were not even aware of the existence of The Nude Bomb at the time; further that the title came largely from Paramount's marketing department. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.44.118.250 (talk) 20:20, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Naked Gun Poster.jpg
[edit]Image:Naked Gun Poster.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Wrong Family Guy quote
[edit]In "movie references", someone has states that the quote "Hey, it's Enrico Pallazzo" is used in an episode of Family Guy. This is not correct, the quote in Family Guy is only "It's Enrico Pallazzo." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.63.228.190 (talk) 22:47, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

Title
[edit]Was the title inspired by "The Nude Bomb"? I figure it might have been because of the nature of both films. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Paula Bunion (talk • contribs) 01:57, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
