Lack of an Audio/Music Section.
Part of what makes the Zelda Series is the audio/music. There was no section of this in the article and I think this needs to be added. I would do it, but I don't know much on the subject. GWatson • TALK 12:51, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
There is an interview with the Zelda composer (Koji Kondo) in Nintendo Power.
I can add some more stuff, but I don't know how to cite properly.

Religion
Has anyone ever noticed any religious themes in Zelda? In the first two Zelda games, link had a cross on his shield. In Majora's Mask, Flat (a ghost) says that his brother, Sharp, sold his soul to the devil. Does anyone know any other religion that has been overlooked in the Zelda games? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.23.52.21 (talk) 23:43, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, (sorry- I'm not to savvy to Wikipedia, just think the talk pages are interesting), I've wondered why the cross was there... also, weren't Flat and Sharp the graveyard ghosts in OoT, not Majora's mask... since M'sM isn't on the Virtual Console and I've lost my expansion pack I can't check... not that it matters... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.60.42.213 (talk) 23:40, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
- They are in both games, but the relevant quote is in MM, where Sharp is a boss. Not even Mr. Lister's Koromon survived intact. 05:34, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
- This may be but you need verifiable sources stating so in order to include this info or it would be original research. Axem Titanium 21:40, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
There's also the way Majora seems to be based on the Christian Satan... also, the main plotline deals with religion, being about goddesses and holy relics. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.45.226.244 (talk) 02:00, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
New series image
Since Haipa Doragon brought it up, I think the new image Image:Zeldalogowhite.PNG is a little better than Image:Zeldae32004-25b.jpg because it avoids the game specific sword and shield motif. Axem Titanium (talk) 15:52, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
Just for my two cents, I do like the old logo better because it has the Master Sword and Hylian shield, two items that occur frequently and are of importance to the series. However, the black background on that image is bothersome. I would say the ideal image would be the old logo with a white background, but as for the two being compared, I prefer the old image. DajoKatti (talk) 16:39, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
The actual title is only consistent part of any logo across the main Zelda series, which is why I chose to use that image. The sword and shield logo only applies to two games in the entire series (which are even then technically the same game). - .:Alex:. 20:22, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
"The Legend of Zelda" redirect
I've changed The Legend of Zelda. It now redirects to this article, because most people would be searching for the series as a whole when they look up The Legend of Zelda. I've also moved the article for the original game from The Legend of Zelda to The Legend of Zelda (video game). If there is anybody who thinks this was a bad decision please tell me. Maser (Talk!) 03:03, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- I don't see the need for that. In either event, The Legend of Zelda should never be a redirect. Pagrashtak 15:24, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- I would say a disambiguation page is most appropriate. Haipa Doragon (talk) 18:14, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- We already have a dab page at The Legend of Zelda (disambiguation), it just needs to be linked to. Pagrashtak 18:34, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- Gahhhhh, the unparentheses'd page should never be a redirect. The two options would be to move the series page to The Legend of Zelda (like Final Fantasy does) or to move the first game there. Never leave an un-dabbed page as a redirect to a dabbed page. Axem Titanium (talk) 22:38, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- Exactly what I said. I've reverted the move for now. It needs discussion. Pagrashtak 15:25, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- I don't like the idea of having the series page at The Legend of Zelda, it's too ambiguous. Frankly, I don't see what's wrong with The Legend of Zelda redirected to a dab page. Haipa Doragon (talk) 16:57, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- The Legend of Zelda shouldn't redirect to a dab page, because having the dab page at that title without (disambiguation) is better. Thus, in either case, The Legend of Zelda should not be a redirect. Pagrashtak 17:20, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

- (un-indent) The rationale for this is in WP:MOS somewhere. I don't think that it would be too confusing or ambiguous at all. After all, the first sentence of the article would say "The Legend of Zelda is a series of video games" or something like that and there would be a hat saying "This article is about the series. For the first game, see The Legend of Zelda (video game)" or the like. Axem Titanium (talk) 22:59, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- I think it is bst to not redirect to a dabbed page, but rather make the undabbed page a dabbed one. Actually, you know what? I'm starting to think it was great the way it was before. Maser (Talk!) 08:09, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
- Sure, that's fine too. I simply ask if the first thing you think of when I say "The Legend of Zelda" is the first Zelda game or the series as a whole (or even "which Zelda?"). Axem Titanium (talk) 03:05, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
- I think the first thing that comes to mind for most is the series as a whole, it really depends on who you ask. But I really don't think "The Legend of Zelda" should be a redirect. Maybe a dabbed page in itself would be best. The general consensus that appears to be built is that "The Legend of Zelda" should not be a redirect to any page - dabbed or otherwise - and that it should probably be a dabbed page itself, if not keep it the way it was before. I believe making "The Legend of Zelda" a dabbed page is probably the best option, because when someone searches "The Legend of Zelda", they may be looking for either the series, or the original game, or possibly any other game in the series. The point remains that "The Legend of Zelda" should not be a redirect. Maser (Talk!) 18:54, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

Let's walk the road to FA
This article needs a LOT of work. In fact a lot of Zelda articles require a lot of work, but this seems like the best place to start. This article has lots of POV statements and original research so I have already begun cleaning up the article and restructuring it ect. but I can't do it alone. The ultimate goal is to make this article reach featured status, I know we can do it but we need your help to reach that goal. A lot of work will be needed to do this, but I'm sure we can do it. - .:Alex:. 12:35, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
- I have edited the intro paragraphs with the hope of getting this article closer to FA status. I removed the part about it being one of the most influential series in video game history because I couldn't find a good source for it, so instead I tried to emphasize how it has been very successful commercially, citing a more recent source. I would like to see more in the introduction about the influence of the series, and I think the large and loyal fanbase should be mentioned, but again, these need to have citations, and I haven't found any good ones so far. - carolyn81 (user • talk) 10:56, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:TwilightPicture.jpg
Image:TwilightPicture.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Chronology Common Sense? (God knows what I'm starting here...)
Okay, if this has been proposed before, I appologize, but I've never really read the comments section on this article, so please take it easy on me. Anyway, I would guess that just about everyone reading the comments section on this article knows enough about the Zelda chronology to know that it is a mess; however, there are some story arcs and areas of the timeline that 99% of the Zelda community will agree with. Why don't we put some of those arcs on the page? For example:
The Legend of Zelda -> The Adventure of Link
Ocarina of Time -> A Link to the Past
Ocarina of Time -> Majora's Mask
Ocarina of Time -> The Wind Waker -> Phantom Hourglass
Ocarina of Time -> Twilight Princess
The Minish Cap -> Four Swords -> Four Swords Adventures
I don't think that those arcs would spark much disagreement if we put them in the chronology section. I mean, like 1% of the fans out there who actually see these will disagree. Every now and then, you run into some guy who swears up and down that Ocarina of Time is the last chronological game or some B.S. like that. This article isn't about being sensitive to different chronological beliefs. It's about trying to get the facts, and not everyone agrees with the facts. What about it? Again, I've never read the comments on this article, so go easy on me if this has been proposed before. -Vert Bandit 19:19, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
Zelda Dark Sage
I saw a video on youtube about a CGI Zelda movie called the DARK SAGE to launch in 2008. Is this true???? --Mr.Mario 192 (talk) 22:31, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- It's a fan made movie. It's not real and never will be. .:Alex:. 23:32, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
I highly doubt there will be a Zelda movie. Link couldnt talk. -Clown nose 18:31, 24 March 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Clown nose (talk • contribs)

- The next console Zelda game was unofficially announced before Twilight Princess even came out. As you can see from this[1] link, which is over a year old, the concept has been around for some time. Morte42 (talk) 07:11, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Last 3 paragraphs
I just read the last three paragraphs, and their not related to THIS article. If there is an article on Zelda the character and not The Legend of Zelda Video Game, they could go there, but not here. Understand what I'm saying?--Mm40 (talk) 16:44, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
I'm not sure what you mean, actually... are you referring to the sections on Zelda in other media? If so, then they definitely belong here, since this is the page for Zelda the Series, and they give information on how parts of the series has been featured in other media.
