The Human centipede (NOT FOR HALLOWEEN!)

Come on guys!!!, how can we promote these type of movies to the public specialy for halloween, ya most approve anything to the adult public only when even reading about these movie, i have watched and i can tell it is nothing that a jounger than 18 should watch, the contents are just horrible and very satanic as it is part of a evil symbol.

Exactly. and... how in the hell did this article become a Featured article? It's not exactly morally right and this doesn't make a good impression of Wikipedia to the masses who come here everyday. I hope the (old, resident) Wikipedians here are not becoming weird (if they aren't already). Please reconsider and remove the Featured article nomination... this has NOTHING to do with Halloween, it is NOT FITTING; the subject of the article isn't morally right and this kind of stuff shouldn't be known by young kids who might come here. Oh what have you guys done? :O - M0rphzone (talk) 02:48, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

Why on Earth would you promote this piece of garbage movie? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.70.146.248 (talk) 02:10, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

Wikipedia has been trolled by a sicko

Just read his description of the articles original purpose.

Hope you admin's are proud.

What's next a picture of a kid getting raped for veterans day?--CatholicW (talk) 03:18, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

I don't think this is trolling. The article is actually pretty good. However it simply is not an appropriate topic for the front page. If 4-chan worthy topics like this become regular fare, schools will block Wikipedia and the next generation will stop using it. Abe Froman (talk) 03:25, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
ACTUALLY. I am pretty sure this was the whole intention of Coolug. Just LOOK at his previous comments. It's hard to say that he isn't a fanatic of some sort who just wanted to promo this article and "show off" to the masses.

On another note, how can we promote another featured article (that has more points than this article) to the front page? Is it still possible if another article has already been featured on the front page? Can we still replace it with a higher points/voted article? - M0rphzone (talk) 04:53, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

Wow I never even thought about that. Torture porn as a feature article will likely not get us banned from every school in the country but many countries in general. --CatholicW (talk) 03:29, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
FWIW, 4chan itself was on the main page as TFA on January 14, 2009. Resolute 03:31, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
FYI, the article on 4chan doesn't actually depict the things found in that site (which is alarming, disgusting, weird to the average Main page Wikipedia reader). Unfortunately, the picture on the front page today did depict the thing, which is a fail on the admin and moderators part. - M0rphzone (talk) 05:35, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
I remember that. Good article. However, the 4-Chan TFA was about 4-Chan, not reposts of what is posted there. The topic of the movie wouldn't be out of place there. There's a reason why schools block 4-Chan. I hope Wikipedia doesn't follow their lead. Abe Froman (talk) 03:34, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

Hello. Two things; firstly, I would suggest Mr CathlicW reads my user page again. He seems to have misinterpreted it. Secondly, I note that the blurb has had the ass-to-mouth references and the image removed. Therefore I don't think this is going to get wikipedia banned from every country in the world.

Anyway, I'm afraid I have to go to work now. Seeing as this is in a nursery school with lots of tiny four year olds I shall try my best not to tell them about the human centipede. I'm feeling a little tired this morning as Mrs Coolug accidentally sent the alarm an hour early this morning, and I found myself listening to farming today instead of today. Arse. (American readers will probably not understand that reference) Coolug (talk) 07:32, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

Hey Coolug, you're SUCH a funny guy did you know? Try to take care of the things and make sure shit doesn't happen again. - M0rphzone (talk) 08:34, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
I've set up a userspace that Mr Catholic is free to valndalise to his hearts content. User:Coolug/comments Anyone can write anything they like there. Coolug (talk) 07:39, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

It has been pointed out to me that the archiving message above may be less than clear to new(er) users. If you are here to discuss this article being featured on the main page, go to Talk:Main Page. However, the unclear part is, if you are here to discuss improvements to this article, this talk page is the right place. Wikipedia is not censored, neither are talk pages-- but different pages have different purposes. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:45, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

In the reception section please change H. Kroger Babb to just Kroger Babb and link it to that article.--108.46.103.88 (talk) 12:56, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

Done Thanks for the helpful suggestion! Great to have you on board! Papa November (talk) 13:31, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

An Ad can become the Main Page

All this exposes is how a tightly organized group can capture Wiki's main page for an ad. It was inevitable. Good old marketing know how has caught up with Wikipedia at last. Profhum (talk) 22:11, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

Do you really think I'm in the pay of IFC films? I have an edit history, it's everyone's to look at. If I was a marketing consultant or something it would probably show. I suppose I'm also being paid off by Nikita Khrushchev too...... Coolug (talk) 22:16, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
Relevant, "professor". Erik (talk | contribs) 22:19, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
It's much worse than that... Coolug has no good reason for spending two years editing this article, whatsoever! Papa November (talk) 23:22, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

Well Profhum, you caught me. I currently charge $500 to put the article you want on the main page; $1000 if you want to choose the day, and a three-of-the-price-of-two discount for repeat customers. Raul654 (talk) 03:03, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Raul, could I get a discount for more battleship articles? I'm being pushed by my, uh, employer to get more on the Main Page. ;-) Congratulations on a ridiculous amount of page views, Coolug. I hope you can find another niche to work in now that your Human Centipede is done! Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 08:26, 2 November 2011 (UTC)

Notification of a TFA nomination

In the past, there have been requests that discussions about potentially controversial TFAs are brought to the attention of more than just those who have WP:TFAR on their watchlist. With that in mind: Fuck: Word Taboo and Protecting Our First Amendment Liberties has been nominated for an appearance as Today's Featured Article. If you have any views, please comment at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests. Thank you. — Cirt (talk) 17:24, 1 November 2014 (UTC)

Release date

The article says it was shown at festivals in 2009. That should make this a 2009 film, no? 99.240.158.17 (talk) 01:02, 22 February 2013 (UTC)

Fixed. BOVINEBOY2008 23:03, 21 January 2014 (UTC)

Vandalism

Who in sam hill keeps making these ridiculous edits of this article?! And more importantly, is there any way to help make it less frequent? Archer 90 (talk) 21:51, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

Almost very article gets vandalised every once in a while, especially when it comes to articles about controversial subject matter such as this one. Considering Wikipedia can be edited by anyone, chances are that there is no SINGLE person. The only thing we can do is revert vandalism when we see it. I'd advise not provoking the participants in the vandalism or pointing out who they are specifically, per WP:NOSPADE, WP:ATWV and WP:NPA. Also remember that new editors are Wikipedia's most valuable resource and remember that Good Faith edits do not constitute vandalism, whether they're truly constructive or not.
If vandalism becomes too frequent, the page can be requested for protection. Darkknight2149 (talk) 05:53, 25 May 2015 (UTC)

Graphic novel adaptation

Tom Six has confirmed on his twitter that there will be a graphic novel adaptation of the film released in 2017. However, I haven't added it to the article yet because this hasn't been covered by any third party sources, and I don't want to base an entire section on a single primary source. I'll keep an eye out for third party news sources as more information regarding the graphic novel is released. DarkKnight2149 22:39, 10 September 2016 (UTC)
