the plot summary seems a bit uninformed and amateurish... it contained several typos which i mostly fixed, but i haven't seen the movie so i can't correct any plot holes —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.252.107.243 (talkcontribs)

Plot

I took taken the liberty of re-doing the whole page to what it is now. I just saw the movie a yesterday so this page isnt too detailed because frankly I dont remember all the minor plot details. It will get better once I see the movie again, but I'm going to wait untl the DVD comes out. If you dont like how it is, then I'm sorry, but I have added a great deal to it. Before it was only like 3 sentences.

The section for the plot is entirely too long, and seems to be a literal play-by-play of the film. A simple summary of the major plot points would suffice. Can anyone else shorten this? MezzoMezzo 20:50, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

      • I just put the plot too long tag on this article, because in my opinion the plot is ridiculously over-detailed. It is cumbersome and too difficult to read. There are a ton of minor details that could be removed, and keep it to the major plot details. The plot as it is describes full scenes in painful detail. Original and Remake Differences

I thought maybe having a table telling the differences between the original and this one. If no one opposes this idea, I'll add the section in a few days. Lindsey8417 00:03, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

Gallery?

I've removed the picture gallery, as I don't think this kind of content is in any way appropriate to Wikipedia. This is an encyclopedia, not a fan site. Elrith 21:22, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

Isn't the gas station attendant Jupiter's father?

Nope. Not in this version. In the 1977 version, that was true, but in this one it doesnt say.

-Lindsey8417 19:55, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

You sure, I thought he and Jupiter did look kind of alike and someone told me that Jupiter was abandoned by the guy in this version to, unless it's just a nod to the original.

They did not mention it in this version. It may very well be one of the things left behind on the cutting room floor.--Farquaadhnchmn 13:42, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Doug character

Doug comes across as weak and inept at times but really impresses the heck out of me after taking a beating and kept coming back. Was this character pretty much played the same way in the other films? Jtpaladin 17:34, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

Doug's fingers

SPOILER ALERT I saw this film in the theatre twice; Doug's fingers were severed in the theatrical release. The page currently states that it only occurs in the unrated version.

Budget

I find it hard to believe that the budget was $15,000,000. Any other sources than imdb? -Indolences 04:51, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

This article sucks

What's with the huge blank space at the plot section? And yes, you don't need 8 pages of plot summary. Bunch of inexperienced 13 year olds writing these articles thinking that they need to type the whole movie on a page. By the time I finish reading all that crap, I could have watched the entire movie. It should only be about a few paragraphs long.

Fair use rationale for Image:DVD Review - The Hills Have Eyes Unrated 22 .jpg

Image:DVD Review - The Hills Have Eyes Unrated 22 .jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

plot summary length?

The plot summary still seems way too long. We don't need to know what every character does in every scene, and lines like "Bobby runs off with his gun with vengeance in mind." seem unencyclopedic. Jodamn 02:57, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

consistency

The section listing the characters and actors is inconsistent. It spells Lynn's name as Lynne, which differs from the earlier portion of the article. It also gives a spoiler about one death, but ignores the others. Please remove the spoilers and decide on a spelling for Lynn's name. 71.234.109.192 (talk) 06:00, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
