Dates

I'm sorry for the dtes on there. But The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy first aired on Cartoon Network as "Grim and Evil", but aired on July 31, 2002 as it's own show. - Dpm12 —Preceding comment was added at 21:43, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Critical reaction

Somebody added a lot of things on "Critical reaction" section. The "Music" section should be separated into own section, because it has nothing to do with the critical reactions. The "Violence" section should be summarized, it's too long, it doesn't need to list every violence act in the show.

Hoax?

"In the movie The Ring Two, after Aiden returns home from the hospital, the TV is turned on and an episode of 'Billy and Mandy' is shown and left on for the remainder of the scene."

Can anyone confirm this? -- Kwinston 20:49, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Dungeons & Dragons References

There are a number of Dungeons & Dragons references in multiple episodes the show, for example, in one episode Billy's dad is reading a "Monster Manual volume I" which he found from Grim's belongings. In another episode, the characters find a skull with rubies for eyes that grants them 9 wishes, which exactly resembles a demilich. -Disko

I believe you are correct on the D&D references. They infact are in one episode transported to play their favorite game. I think it was something like Castles and Creatures or something. But Billy was a sword-wielding idiot and Erwin was a mage. They wanted to live in their fantasy game, so I do think if someone added D&D reference section it would be well warranted.
I'll confirm this. There are numerous references to Monster Manuals, a Dungeon Master's Guide (Ecto Cooler), the Eye of Vecna (The Crawling Niceness), A wand of magic missile (forgot), carrion crawlers (forgot), and the appearance of some monsters that look like 1st edition D&D creatures (Billy and Mandy Begins - Grim's Story).
Also, not sure what episode, but there is a World of Warcraft reference.

The scene shows some followers of grim and one resembles an undead from the game.

In the episode "Goodbling and the Hip-Hop-oppotamus," Goodvibes told Mindy that he "Battled the forces of evil," which showed Goodvibes playing an MMO. Link 486 October 22nd, 2006, 3:26 p.m.

What about the 2nd episode with the snake nerds? The nerds say something about a lvl 60 warlock with dark abilities or something.

Misc.

1.) Billy is a somewhat harmful idiot who causes chaos better than Eris herself. 2.) The basic premice of the show is surrealistic, there is no true arch. 3.) Since many aspects of the show and its humor are character-based, it is rightful to have said information there. Reading through the entire article is not a problem as this is not a large article, and repetitiveness should always be kept to a minimum. 4.) The "baseless sexism of the boys" is a "humorous premise" because it shows how stupid they are/it is, and it allows for many comeuppances, which can always be humorous, and plot devices. -Ngorongoro

I think this needs to be filled in a little bit. The article never really explains who Billy is or what the basic premice of the show is. You really have to read the entire article to get any idea of what it is about. I'm also not sure that it is such a good idea to refer to "the baseless sexism of the boys" as a "humorous premise". --Vistago 00:52, August 4, 2005 (UTC)

Should it be mentioned in the trivia that an early episode of GABM actually delt with a brain eating meteor that tricked Billy into bringing him all of the townspeople of Endsville? I don't know if the song sung through most of that episode was actually the song mentioned, but it was about the same thing. ~Lord Sephiroth. Edit: The tital of the episode was actually Little Rock of Horror. Source: http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/tv_shows/billymandy/index.html

From what I've gathered from a GABM fansite, they are, in fact, the same song. Don't quote me on this one, though. ~Shippy Mandy
Thanks, but now I have another question about a different episode. In the Episode, Here Thar Be Dwarves, the King of the Dwarves sounds very much like Michael Dorn...since the credits move to fast for me to see, I'd like to know if it was actually Michael Dorn speaking for the King. I do believe that it was R Lee Ermey speaking for himself in that ep. Lord Sephiroth00:10, 10 August 2005 (UTC)

Despite this, he has shown some reluctant concern for Billy, who treats him somewhat better than Mandy does. What the heck are you talking about? Isn't Grim always the first person to leave Billy when he's lost or kidnapped, even when Mandy comments they should make sure he returns with them? --Wack'd About Wiki 16:11, 15 August 2005 (UTC)

I think the original comment is accurate. On the surface Grim is mean to Billy, but deep down he cares. For example, in My Fair Mandy when the universe ends, Billy and Grim console each other.
It usually depends on how Grim acts in the episode. Sometimes he acts angry and ominous and other times he's goofy and acts semi-retarded (Usually when he acts like a little girl in a few episodes).

References to supernatural beings

Looks to me like Atoms hasn't read Lovecraft's "Necronomicon", but is rather a fan of Robert Anton Wilson's and Robert Shea's "Illuminatus!" trilogy, which refers to both Yog-Sothoth and Eris, complete with her golden apple of discord (by the way, the "K" on the apple means the greek word "Kallisti" = "to the prettiest one" - see Judgement of Paris).

Lovecraft never wrote a "necronomicon". He wrote stories that included references to a "necronomicon" written by "Abdul Alzhared, the Mad Arab". Lovecraft's fictional Necronomicon is probably the basis for the "real" Necronomicon that turned up in the second half of the 20th Century.

Episode List Error?

I've seen an episode called "The Trouble With Billy", which is missing in the episode list.

Present, however, are the following entries under Season 4:

   41. Wild Parts / The Problem With Billy

and under Season Five:

   51. The Firebird Sweet / The Bubble With Billy

I do believe it was called The Trouble With Billy. -- 67.184.171.198 13:13, 8 March 2006 (UTC)

No, there is no The Trouble With Billy Misa J. 13:30, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

More Episode Hijinks

Not only that, but I don't think any of the Grim & Evil episodes are listed in the correct order; I just watched one, and the eps were Go Kart 3000, Day of the Dreadbot, and Smarten Up!. Not only does that order not appear anywhere in the episode list, but Day and Smarten aren't even listed. DarkSoldier 10:42, 30 November 2005 (UTC)

Go Kart 3000 appears in two different episodes; it appears in both the one mentioned above, as well as episode 2.7 (season 2, episode 7). I also noticed that there is a Billy and Mandy episode listed by the name of Something Stupid Comes This Way. I don't remember any episodes by this name, but I have seen one called Something Stupid This Way Comes. -- PinkDeoxys 19:08, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

Revision on Mandy's Section?

How can someone have a voice that is gothic? Really? Gothic not only describes moody teenagers, but also a certain style of literature and architecture. And I don't believe Mandy embodies a goth, since many of them are obsessed with the color black, death, a certain style of music, and often try to prove to those around them how miserable they are. I suggest a revision.

You may have just painted Mandy into being a goth, as more than any of the traits you described, the most important indication that somebody is a goth, is their staunch denial of being one. Besides, I really think the author meant to say thay Mandy is a Germanic-Scandinavian Barbarian intent on conquering parts of Imperial Rome.
Seriously, where exactly is Mandy described as a moody teenager? When Mandy is described as having a Gothic tone, it is exactly in the sense of literature and architecture you mentioned. I mean to say that a perfectly nice historical castle in a rustic countryside could make a beautiful scene. And then one can imagine Mandy inhabiting it, and not only doesn't she seem out of place - she actually lends a creepy spookiness to the estate which then becomes an appropriate setting for a Gothic Novel. Even without a storyboard, Vincent Price could easily accomplish the same thing, by using his Gothic tone.
Vincent Price does not have a gothic tone because he wears dog collars, fishnet shirts and Crowface, stomps to early 1980's era postpunk, and sucks down clove cigarettes and vodka. It is because he can lend an air of hidden mystery to an otherwise innocent setting, with a slight delay in speech, a sudden whispered raise of vocal register, and an unusual look in his eye. Mandy is a cartoon drawing of a little blond girl with big eyes, a small(or absent) nose and a pink dress. If she evokes anything resembling horror in spite the explicitly adorable traits, then perhaps it is due to the voice actor's ability to use a Gothic tone? Granted the lack of a smile does assist the characterization, but that isn't exclusive to Goth, Gothic, or Visi-goth style.
I suggest that your request for a revision was misguided. There is a significant distinction to be made between somebody or something being goth, or having a gothic tone. Although it is worth noting that the trend has been for "goth" subculture and gothic style to increasingly influence each other, the concepts should not be conflated. Unless you are Bjork, then you are allowed to pick any two of the three above mentioned styles for your next album. Castlan 04:35, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

Yes, some-one can have have a voice like that, the voice of Mandy is Grey DeLisle.Atomic45 09:11, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Billy and Mandy

I redirected Billy and Mandy here. You can check the history to see if there's anything useful to merge, but it was apparently about some episodes and not the show. -- Kjkolb 05:08, 29 October 2005 (UTC)

Just because I'm deleting the empty links, doesn't mean you can't put them back. But, please fill them first. Thank you.

As the episode summaries hardly ever exceed 3 lines, maybe it would be more convenient to have them all in only one episode summaries page. Would be searchable, and save server HDD space, too. Thank you.

BTW, Granny Grim has neither dreadlocks nor snakes for dreadlocks, but a perfectly normal, red hairdo (see Season 1-6, "A Dumb Wish"). Cookie-inventing Aunt Kali has dark green snakes for dreadlocks (see Season 1-5 "Recipe for Disaster").

She has what appear to be dreadlocks in One Crazy Summoner - 85.210.152.124 03:31, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

Grim's binding bet

I've looked at this article to learn about the nature of the bet that caused Grim to be Billy's and Mandy's friend forever, a detail I haven't seen on the show. However, the article doesn't have a lot of information on it. I will appreciate it if anyone

  1. Tells me more about this subject,
  2. Considers elaborating a little on the matter in the article.

Thanks. -- Meni Rosenfeld (talk) 17:37, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

It has been quite some time since I have watched this show (or any show that wasn't selected by somebody else for that matter) - so I won't add to the article. But it is common lore that the Grim Reaper will allow you to challenge him to a contest when he comes to claim your life. On the rare occasions when he is defeated, you are allowed to reclaim your life as the prize, usually resulting in immortality, or perhaps you claim the servitude, or role,of the reaper yourself.
Mandy coaxes Grim into a game of "Limbo" to claim her dying pet hamster. Mandy then distracts the Reaper with the hamster, causing him to lose the contest, so that Mandy then has a claim Grim's life. Grim isn't necessarily their friend so much as Mandy's indentured servant. Grim at times seems to think of them as friends, and at other times plots revenge while Mandy abuses and degrades him in various ways. Billy has become attached to Grim, and so sometimes Mandy keeps Grim around to entertain Billy. Usually, it seems that Grim is merely trying to make the best of an absurdly bad situation - especially humiliating because the hamster is still alive. Castlan 05:29, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

Um, I know I am nitpicking but the hamster was actually Billy's. Dexter111344 22:33, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

In the article, it says Mr. Snuggles was 10 years old, but I think Billy and Mandy Begins said he was 7. -- ~PinkDeoxys~ 00:03, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

Renaming Episode

Somebody renamed about a dozen of episodes what gives?

I'm working on fixing them. -- PinkDeoxys 20:47, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

Hoax?

A number of the future episodes discussed in the article seem to be highly suspect. There's no source, and the writing style strongly reminds me of a related (and also highly suspect) article that was recently deleted due to lack of sources and speculation. Lucky number 49 01:08, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

I think putting the hoax tag on is a little bit over the top even if you are right, why not just delete the information about the future episodes you think is wrong and explain why you deleted them? To me this is an overraction. Also the whole world can't be sourced, sometimes things are said or written in places you can't track down easily but it was said and written, such as a magazine you read on a plane or train or in a bookstore when waiting for a bus or something. What do you say if that is the source and why do you say these sound like hoaxes? I think as perhaps your reaction is an overraction your reason for why they seem highly suspect must be explained in better detail. Lastly isn't wrong to "threaten" deletion of an entire article (which it seems like yo uare doing) when only one section (which all you have to do is delete that one section and explain why it was deleted) is in question? Ryokosha 04:09, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
Sorry if there's some confusion, I'm not asking for deletion. Take a closer look, the tag says "some or all", not all. I love the show, and I feel it should have a decent article, so I'm trying to make sure that falsified information isn't included. I feel that it is important to source information on episodes that are unreleased/in production, especially since the related information in the "upcoming episodes" and "trivia" sections are suspect. I'm not asking that sources for things like the color of Billy's swimsuit be referenced (although I might question why that information is included in the first place), but I think that detailed descriptions of the voice cast for possible episodes should have at least a footnote mentioning where the information was found. I feel it is more reasonable to call the authors' attention to this problem than to outright delete the section(s) in question, in the hopes that they do the right thing. Lucky number 49 16:48, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
But you can't always source that which is not out, isn't better to sit and wait? Only when it comes out and is proven to have a different title do I think this becomes an issue. Afterall, it is not making bold statements about what the plot will be, just possible titles, also remembering working titles are likely to change in the final draft so even if you could source this now it might be wrong in the end meaning it has to be changed by the time it airs anyway sourced or not sourced at this time. So while I agree with keeping all articles as sourced as possible, I also think patience is called for when the question involves something as little as episode titles which in time will be proven or disproven by what is actually aired.Ryokosha 19:37, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
It's more than episode titles, there are summaries as well. Very simply put, without any mention of a source, it basically amounts to nothing more than speculation. [[Wikipedia is not a crystal ball]. If the information turns out to be true, then why not just delete it for now and restore it then? Lucky number 49 00:10, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
Perhaps I am missing it but I don't see the summaries. No Wikipedia is not a crystbal ball but you'd be amazed how often facts become fiction given enough time, meaning most of what is here as sourced "facts" could be proven false in the future. Actually that deletion is what I suggested to begin with, however since it is less then a week for the first one, once again I say patience since at this point I see no harm in waiting a few more days and then taking action for all of them if that first one is proven false. Ryokosha 01:17, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
The summaries are directly above the episode list. A new one has been added as of my own last edit, which removed references to text that had deleted. As for waiting for the first one (the only remaining one, apparently) to air, while that is reasonable; consider that the airdates have been changed several times in this article. I'm not saying that this is suspect, I realize that the politics of television and production frequently result in schedule changes. However, a vandal could repeatedly move the airdates ahead simply to make it appear as if there had been schedule changes, and there would be no way of knowing. Without verification from sources, this is at best speculative content, which has no place here (except, i suppose, if one were to plainly describe it as such). Lucky number 49 16:39, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
Then why not use the most recent "air date" and if that passes with nothing do something about it? Again there is no proof perhaps it is true but until it is proven false there is no reason to assume it is not true either. And yes I know Wikipedia is not a crystal ball but it's not all pure facts either, like it or not some of these facts are very baised in one person's opinion or another, often the sources, so I still say that the most recent one dates and wait and see based on those, if they change yet again then maybe it is time to do something but for now I still say wait and see. Ryokosha 19:26, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
Looking at the many edits[1] of industrious user:65.172.235.249 who originally added these future episodes, many are concerned with future airings, some in the immediate future. Either this is part of a protracted, extended and unfunny hoax, or, more likely, this anonymous user (who never leaves an edit summary and appears to be somewhat grammatically challenged) has inside information. Lambiam 22:38, 25 (UTC)
Whichever it might be I still urge patience and waiting to see since the first one will be seen as true or false in less then a week if not sooner for some people. Though if it is proven to be a hoax and if that person is proven to have done this more then once they should be watched closely. Ryokosha 23:47, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
You know, these edits might always just be some wishful thinking resulting from the rather overactive imagination of an overly enthusiastic user. In other words, maybe this is just what he wants to see, so he's posting it here for all to see.--Robbie 07:47, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
Possibly but then shouldn't the section be called something like "desired episodes" rather then "future episodes"?Ryokosha 12:53, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
I'd assume that this was a very optimistic user. Or maybe just one who didn't understand the concept of this website.--Robbie 20:36, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Adult Humor

Did Billy once say Hot Damned Pies in one Episode.

Mandy? SMILING!? Quite...

I think we should add that the one time mandy smiled (with out being acted upon by unnatural forces) was when she broke derek the stick. If someone could please find me the exact episode and if she has smiled anytime else, that would be great! Tingle

She smiled at the end of the first episode "Meet the Reaper", and on the episode where she made everyone disappear (I think it was called "Grim's Mom" or something like that).

The one where she made everyone disappear was My Fair Mandy -- PinkDeoxys 15:54, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

She did smile once without tearing reality apart, but it was a romantic fantasy, because she fell in love with that new kid in Endsville Elementary. What was the episode called? Link 486

Why? It still need a lot of cleaning-up. Especially "Cultural References", there should be some shorter summary and "List of Parodies" as a seperated article. Also, there is no basic overview of the show, I think of inserting "Plot" section in the begging -- Kwinston 20:16, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

Spelling Errors

I have found a couple of spelling errors in the article that I fixed. We need to keep an eye out for these.

Major Changes coming to All Billy and Mandy articles

It has come to the attention of fans of the series and to Wikipedia that many of the GAOBAM articles need editing, separation, reorganization, the works. There are three separate articles describing Mandy. There is an unbelievably LONG list of characters, objects, and episodes that need to be broken down. While all this data about the series is incredibly well documented, there needs to be changes to many of the documents. A template is being composed to resolve some of the recurring data. As more data is added, it may seem propoer for a Portal to be created. --Bushido Hacks 17:47, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

Critical reaction question

What does gross humor, adult humor, fantasy violence, and stereotypical humor have to do with "critical reaction"? I think the name of the section should be changed. GrimRepr39 01:53, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

I have a question, does anyone know what the guy at the end of the episode says? You know, at the end of the show, the theme song, at the end of the theme song they play something backwards, does anyone know what he says?

well heres my best guess- the show is ending bye bye

1st - yes, I though that, I was thinking of changing it into something like "Controversal Content," but that seems a bit over-hyped. I don't know how to name it, if you have a better idea try. 2nd - It's in trivia, on the bottom of the episode list -- Henk65 16:25, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
It would probably be better just incorporated into the main article. It's not actually criticism seeing as there's not any references to people actually criticising the show because of its fantasy violence or adult humour or whatever, so all the section actually does is just describe the show in greater detail. - 81.179.119.58 20:25, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
YES! [in fred's voice] Anyway, I was thinking of making something like a "structure," explaining plotlines, humor and that kind of stuff(and this would nicely fit in). Something like in Family Guy. -- Henk65 22:13, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
Just get rid of it. There are plenty of websites out there that document possibly objectionable content in TV shows, if that's what you're looking for. It doesn't belong here, unless a major organization has mounted a campaign against the show. I'd delete it myself, but it would probably go over better if someone with whose been involved with this article did it instead. --djrobgordon 06:45, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

Critical reactions add-on

In one of the episodes when Billy plays with action-figures one of them is called "Dr. Daylord" which represents "Dr. Gaylord".

Now there's a red link to why this article's nomination for featured article failed. Should someone revert this so there is a link to the nomination? Squirepants101 13:58, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

I reverted your edit back to the way it was because when you moved it, useful info on how to improve the article and get it to featured article status was removed. Also, the sub-page on why the article did not make it to featured article status was removed also. Squirepants101 20:08, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

The correct title uses an ampersand not the word "and". If the change is causing problems with linking to the article nomination page then both should be moved instead of having an incorrect title used. - 85.210.44.98 13:19, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

Billy's IQ

If Billy's IQ is -5, then wouldn't he not even be able to talk? Let alone walk, and do other things? Wouldn't he just sit around like a baby? Unless the IQ thing is a joke, it makes no sense. Violet yoshi

Hello, it's a cartoon. But yes it's dumb taking statements made in the show and treating them as real facts. It's like saying the Three Stooges were employed as plumbers. Billy and Mandy Wikiquote cleanup=

I saw numerous errors in the Wikiquote article, and I have this to say: Please minimize spelling and grammar errors. Link 486 October 22nd, 2006, 3:31 p.m.

Moved Some Stuff

I moved the following from "Gross Humor" to "Fantasy Violence." Hope that's all right.

Also, in Tricycle of Terror Billy crashes his bike into a tree on the way to get some lemonade, his face is a wreck and his cranial skeleton can be seen. Similar face ripping gags repeated when Billy stuck the mixer in his face and when their school mascot, a cat, clawed his face off. 207.69.137.202 22:33, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

Oscar

what happened to Oscar in the episode that featured him?

Nothing. He isn't really notable. -- 89.216.244.194 15:18, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

What did daisy do to him?Kongsaurus12 21:36, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

Chocolate

What were the chocolates the chocolate sailor gave to Billy?Kongsaurus12 21:36, 15 December 2006 (UTC

Coasted Caramel Creme and antidote were from the box at the end. If you're refering to the ones billy was selling, they were the chocolate dingy and chocolate sailor.

Don't forget Horrific Hazelnut, and Mutating Marshmallow!--Rackuchino (talk) 00:57, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

Billy and Mandy is ending

We've been going strong now for about three years. And before that we had another three years of struggling and flopping and gasping for air as we wriggled our way out of the primordial ooze. And a year or so before that I did the pilot. All in all, we've survived numerous cancellations (or non-pickups, as CN likes to say) and finally proven ourselves. By the middle of this year, we'll have 78 half hours in the can, plus a few specials and a TV movie. Not a bad run. 78 half hours is as many half hours as Cartoon Network has made for anything. There's a theory that by the time kids get through five or six seasons of a show, they've outgrown the series and moved on to bigger and better things. That doesn't mean that Billy and Mandy is done and gone, but it does mean that we won't be making new episodes for the series in the near future. It's the end of an era. But it's also a good thing.

When we did our last record a few months ago, Tom Kenny (Spongebob, for all you fans of The Enemy ) said something to me that really made me appreciate the long run we've had on Billy and Mandy. "You guys are the only show I know of that exists solely because of fan support." And that's absolutely true, from our selection during the Big Pick to the fact that our two Funeral Parties didn't mark the end of our run.

So, yeah. For now this is The End. But all things, good and bad, end sooner or later. The good news is that there are still ten half hours left unseen, the crossover with the Kids Next Door, "Billy and Mandy's Big Boogey Adventure", and another hour long special called "Wrath of the Spider Queen". And maybe a few more treats along the way.

Not only that, but there seems to be some marketing going on this year. Will it ruin my indie cred if we get T-shirts or toys? Probably. But would I rather keep my indie cred or die penniless in a gutter? It's a tough call. And those DVD season sets you've been asking about? I can say with some certainty that we're looking at a big fat "maybe". And that's pretty good coming from Atlanta.

As for me, once we're done with post-production this Spring, I'll be starting on a brand new pilot (which I want to keep to myself for now) and a strange mutation special involving the Billy and Mandy universe (which I won't talk about yet, but the clues are out there!) and possibly another Billy and Mandy Holiday special (possibly). That's what Cartoon network tells me, and I believe 'em! This is gonna be a fun year (for me, anyway)! "

I hope Sonic kicks them off the Earth so it doesn't waste airtime!!!--Sonic,Pikachu,and Snorunt (talk) 00:10, 7 February 2008 (UTC) I think it's because of all the little things that made it up. People in the real world, the viewers and people who created the show, made it all together. When all those things from real life, come in and create another reality - The Billy and Mandy Reality - It makes the cartoon world seem more real on the show. I'm sad to see it finally ending....--Rackuchino (talk) 01:02, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

SERIOUS revision needed for the episode listings

Some idiot has gone around, and screwed up ALL of the episode listings. They have filled it with crudely-spelled, useless "trivia" sections. They don't explain special events, but more often, extremely MINOR events that no-one cares about! Here is an exerpt of what the person but on the article for "Billy and Mandy's Big Boogie adventure"

"Billy lost his nose twice, and doesn't get it back either time, but is always seen with it afterwards"

It's called cartoon CONTINUALITY. His nose is lost for humor, and the directors are not going to let him go around with no nose for the rest of the show's run. He has filled almost ALL of the articles with this useless cruft. As said, much revision needed. Master Jaken 20:22, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

RACISM?

How come no one bothered to point out the blatant racism in the episodeAttack of the clowns?203.53.167.180 05:46, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

what to clowns? ♥Fighting for charming Love♥ 10:48, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

No, to everyone different. The frat boy said and I qoute: "If someone's different you shouldn't be afraid of them, no. You should be angry at them! What my way of life not good enough for them!?" I rest my case.203.53.167.180 08:42, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

The answer to your original question is that the frat boy's character was used to help Billy embrace the typical bigotism of America so the writers were simply making a reference to racism rather than being racist.

Oh, thanks.203.53.167.180 05:33, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

btw I wasnt being a sarcastic I forgot about the Frat boy sorry If I sounded like a jerk ♥Fighting for charming Love♥ 17:09, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Episode notability

Many or all of the existing individual episode pages for this series appear to fail the notability guidelines for television episodes, and have been tagged accordingly. These articles can be improved through the inclusion of real-world information from reliable sources to assert notability. Overly long plot summaries should be edited, to a maximum length of approximately ten words per minute of screen time. Trivia should be integrated into the body of the article, or removed if it is not directly relevant. Quotes and images should only be used as part of a critical analysis of the episode. You might also consider merging any notable information onto the show's "List of episodes" or season pages. Otherwise, when these pages come up for review in fourteen days, they may be redirected or merged. If you want any help or further information, then come to Wikipedia:WikiProject Television/Episode coverage. Thanks. Phydend 06:10, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

The Season 1 DVD Cover

Can somebody replace the Billy & Mandy's Big Boogey Adventure DVD Cover with the Season 1 DVD Cover is on amazon.com and other DVD websites.

Since I'm too lazy to find it, I'll scan my copy until someone gets a better version of it. --Rackuchino (talk) 01:06, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

Controversy

This section describes material that could, could be controversial, but makes no assertion of when it has been controversial, and does not reference any sections. As it stands, it's just an uncited section detailing the more "mature" content of the series, which I don't think necessitates a separate heading. Unless someone can demonstrate how the subject matter is controversial with citations, I'm going to take it out. so sayeth Lucky Number 49 Yell at me! 23:48, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

The episode guide needs some extreme cleaning up..

Yeah the episode guide up here for Spongebob is perfect.. and this one is a mess.. If the person who edited (screwed up) the Billy and Mandy guide looked at the spongebob maybe we wouldn't be in this mess.. So I'd appreciate it if someone fixed that up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Smartreader67 (talkcontribs) 21:50, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

Show Conflict

Don't you think it's a show conflict that in the Halloween special, they said any head cut off with the Grim Reaper's Scythe stays off, but in "" Billy accidentily cuits Grims head off when he turns with the scythe in hand, but it floated back to his head! What's up with that?!?! I'm watchin' you,mon (talk) 00:42, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

Yeh, I never really got that, if grim's head is removable, then why couldn't billy keep the head from jack, thats a really lame plothole Coolman1250 (talk) 09:27, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Maybe it went back on because it was only an accident? Hmmmm... I'm watchin' you,mon (talk) 03:51, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Did both events happened in the same movie or at different episodes/movies? Antonio Lopez (talk) 17:21, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

They were in different. One was a halloween special and one was a episode. Usually Billy and Mandy is really weird, huh? StoryTellerScream a little scream 20:50, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Well that could explain it, sometimes scriptwriters make errors; then again the episode probably took place before the movie. Antonio Lopez (talk) 21:04, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, if you look at alot of the episodes, many things happen, as characters get stuck in numerous dimensions, only to return without way of explanation in the next episode. StoryTellerScream a little scream 21:15, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
I know what you mean, It happens in a lot of TV Shows; I believe there is a term for that. Antonio Lopez (talk) 21:18, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, like once in the show Mandy was so big she went to another dimension, and once Bogie sent Billy somewhere to be torcured (And he actually torcured everbody else there while he had fun.)

Heck(?)

Yeah, no idea why that's even mentioned though, it's all badly written. --treelo talk 14:28, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Just some stuff I found recently..

But in the credits of Secret Snake Nerds Vs. PE, where the nerds were throwing rocks at Grim, it was actually a parody of [this]. Oh. And the whole thing about Mandy making the bet that Grim would have to be best friends with them.. I was watching my DVD, and noticed that it was all GRIM's idea to be best friends with them. "..Oh, and I'll be your best friend, forever", he put that as an extra thing in the bet. Sorry if this has been mentioned before >_< --Rackuchino (talk) 02:09, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

Oh, whoever put the part in continuity, with Boogey coming back from Bully Boogie into Big Boogey Adventure, he didn't actually come back in Wrath of the Spider Queen. He only appeared in flashbacks, which has nothing to do with an actual appearance, does it? :P —Preceding unsigned comment added by Racku-Salada (talkcontribs)
