  • ALT1: ... that while Alexander Hamilton may not have broken the tie in the election of 1800, he did break the tie in "The Election of 1800"?
  • Reviewed: Kirovs Lipmans
  • Comment: I don't want to link Hamilton in ALT0—it's pretty easy to get to by clicking on the bolded article, and I'd rather let users pass through there first. Also, let me have my omelette, would you?
  • this is why i should be editing french wikipedia—because one WP:EGG is an oeuf for me (i'm so sorry)

  • Ooh, I quite like both hooks, especially ALT1. Reviewing:
General: Article is new enough and long enough

Policy compliance:

Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
QPQ: Done.

Overall: Oh, also, maybe consider decapitalizing the first instance of "the election of 1800" in ALT1? Or (although your omlette is delicious) it would be less confusing and possibly more intriguing if the piped link was omitted. ezlev (user/tlk/ctrbs) 05:34, 30 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks for the speedy review! I decapitalised in the second hook, that only adds too the EGGiness and does decrease confusion, I agree. If the promoter wants to de-link that one, that's fine too. As for the synopsis, I made a bare-bones citation to the song, since there doesn't seem to be an existing template for that? It's weirder when it's a musical number. I appreciate your approval of the omelette! theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/them) 05:41, 30 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
on second thought, I'm going to link 1800 United States presidential election in the lead of "The Election of 1800", to make sure that we're not diverting attention to the actual election. The confusion and egginess should still be plenty. theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/them) 05:46, 30 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Good to go! Great to go, even. ezlev (user/tlk/ctrbs) 06:20, 30 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
