Fair use rationale for Image:Urania 629.jpg
[edit]Image:Urania 629.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Merge to
[edit]I suggest all the separate articles on the stories be merged and redirect here. They are all (or mostly) unreferenced and may have troubles meeting WP:N as stand alone articles. JeepdaySock (AKA, Jeepday) 16:44, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
- Regarding Thiotimoline: of the four stories on this theme, only one appeared in T.E.A. - "The Endochronic Properties of Resublimated Thiotimoline". Therefore, since it's improper to merge the other three, and also improper to separate one story off, the whole article should remain unmerged. --Redrose64 (talk) 17:35, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
- Good point the story Thiotimoline and the Space Age was in T.E.A. but the article is about Thiotimoline a fictitious chemical compound". Merge tag removed. Should the redirect from go to The Early Asimov instead of Thiotimoline_and_the_Space_Age#The_Space_Age? JeepdaySock (AKA, Jeepday) 10:59, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
- Not sure what you're asking. T.E.A. contains stories written in or before 1949. The Thiotimoline one in that collection is definitely "The Endochronic Properties of Resublimated Thiotimoline" (see volume 3, p. 111); it was written in 1947, pub. March 1948. "Thiotimoline and the Space Age" was written in 1960, and is in Opus 100 (p. 170 of my copy). --Redrose64 (talk) 11:34, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
- There is no article named Thiotimoline and the Space Age which would be about the short story, it is a redirect to Thiotimoline#The_Space_Age. As a redirect can only go one place and both Thiotimoline and The Early Asimov (T.E.A.) are potential destinations. I was thinking that T.E.A. might be a better destination, because it is book with the short story, the article Thiotimoline is a subject of stories, but is not a book. Of course in either case there should be some See also connection between the two. JeepdaySock (AKA, Jeepday) 15:10, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

- What are your thoughts on the other merges to T.E.A.? JeepdaySock (AKA, Jeepday) 15:10, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
- If the story is essentially standalone (no sequels) - such as "The Callistan Menace" - then a merge to T.E.A. is probably best. If it's one of a series - such as "Half-Breed", or anything mentioning Multivac - then it might be better in a series article. --Redrose64 (talk) 16:51, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
- I concur JeepdaySock (AKA, Jeepday) 15:14, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- All this stories can be referenced just by adding the book's publication data. And if we merge these all the Plot summaries would be lost. Besides, we have every short story by Asimov as a separate article, no need to cut that. --Againme (talk) 21:42, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
- Why would the plot summaries be lost? Merge means to move the content that is not redundant and is appropriate. Adding the book's publication data would not meet the requirements of WP:V nor of WP:N. JeepdaySock (AKA, Jeepday) 15:14, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- Hi! But if we move all the plot summaries, the article on the book would be too long. --Againme (talk) 15:24, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- Most of not all of the plot summaries are short, little more then a paragraph, plus a short piece of history. Some of the articles will be moving to series articles or staying in them like Thiotimoline and the Space Age which is discussed above. The article length should be fine, even if we moved them all in to the same article. Do you have something specific in mind that will limit the article size?JeepdaySock (AKA, Jeepday) 10:50, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

Merge in
[edit]Series articles
[edit]- Thiotimoline and the Space Age in the article is about Thiotimoline
- Half-Breeds on Venus to Half-Breed (Asimov) as a stand alone article not a redirect to Half-Breed (short story)
- Anything from Multivac#Multivac_bibliography should be in the article Multivac (I did not see any, but may have missed something)
