The reference to "somewhat conservative politics" in overview section doesn't sound right according to my memory of reading Lasch. I thought he was a Marxist, if anything. A separate comment: Perhaps this article should be merged with biographical entry on Lasch. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.11.162.168 (talk) 23:50, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
sounds conservative
[edit]The explanation of the book makes Lasch sound very socially conservative. Is this true of Lasch, or is this simply the bias of the reviewer who wrote the wikiarticle? 121.73.7.84 (talk) 04:51, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
- You are correct. He was a respected Neo-Marxist. The fact that he gives a rational and historical explanation for conservatism was confused with being a conservative (as he predicted). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:8001:A702:13A8:511:CA8F:C876:ED28 (talk) 22:44, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
