[edit]Why has the following sentence been removed?
The song ranked first by jury votes and fifth by audience votes.
This information provides valuable context to the statement that it "won Eurovision 2024".

Mettler?
[edit]Why does this article refer to Nemo (singer) by their last name repeatedly when their own article only uses their first name? Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 22:20, 18 May 2024 (UTC)

1. Well-written
- and the first winning song ever in the history of the contest by a non-binary artist. Remove "ever," as it is redundant.
- Done. Cheers! Nascar9919 (he/him • t • c) 03:12, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
- "The Code" enjoyed widespread acclaim amongst its release... Change "amongst" to "upon"
- Done. Cheers! Nascar9919 (he/him • t • c) 03:12, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
- Dodo [de], a Swiss singer and a close companion of Nemo, stated, "Nemo is an exceptional talent... I'm super proud of Nemo. Nemo is an instant manifestor... If you don't have any ideas, call Nemo. Nemo is bursting with ideas." This quote doesn't add anything about the song itself, so I think it should be removed.
- Done. Cheers! Nascar9919 (he/him • t • c) 03:12, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
- Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen's (SRF) Luca Koch described the song as "pompous". I am wondering if this is a translation error because "pompous" is typically used in a negative context. If this is meant to be a criticism of the song, I would add more details/context.
- Done? Let me know if you want more. Cheers! Nascar9919 (he/him • t • c) 03:12, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
- In response to becoming the favourite, Nemo stated to Aussievision that they weren't "focus[ed] too much on them". This quote is a bit confusing because we don't know what "them" is. I can see from the article they're referring to the betting odds- this sentence could be better written to reflect that.
- Done. Cheers! Nascar9919 (he/him • t • c) 03:12, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
- Nemo later proclaimed, "maybe Eurovision needs fixing a little bit too, every now and then." Move the period to after the quotation marks since that's the style used throughout the rest of the article.
- Done. Cheers! Nascar9919 (he/him • t • c) 03:12, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
- Die Weltwoche's Thomas Renggli wrote that "despite their choice of costume... they kept their balance, both in terms of dance and music... in the end the musical quality prevailed." Add more context about why this writer did not like to costume.
- Added as much as I could. It doesn't include much on the author's specific opinion on Nemo's costume. Cheers! Nascar9919 (he/him • t • c) 03:12, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
- Shaun Curran stated that despite Nemo's calls for the contest to "continue to stand for peace", the controversy and its fallout would continue to still affect the contest. Remove the word "still," as it is redundant.
- Done. Cheers! Nascar9919 (he/him • t • c) 03:12, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
2. Verifiable
- From Earwig's CopyVio detector results, re-write this sentence or use quotations: It has been described by Nemo as a song that details their experience with coming to terms with their non-binary identity. The rest of the links showing 20%+ similarity come from quotes.
- Done. Let me know if you want it tweaked further. Cheers! Nascar9919 (he/him • t • c) 03:12, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
- Minor layout issues: Refs 45, 62, 98, 103, and 107 need translated titles. 17, 18, 37, 47, 58, 64, 65, 73, 103, and 107 need the language parameter.
Spot check: 1, 5, 8, 13, 20, 23, 31, 33, 41, 51, 56, 60, 69, 76, 85, 90, 110 - no issues with these
3. Broad
No notes here.
4. Neutral
There are multiple politically sensitive subjects covered in this article, and I think you did a good job maintaining a neutral point of view.
5. Stable
No concerns on the article's stability.
6. Illustrated
- File:The Code (Nemo song).png needs the non-free use rationale added.
- About this: I checked the file, and it seems to be there already? Is there something I need to add? Cheers! Nascar9919 (he/him • t • c) 03:12, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry I had noticed the warning to add the rationale without realizing it was already there. The parameter |image has rationale=yes needed to be added to remove the warning, so I went ahead and did that. -Riley1012 (talk) 18:58, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
No issues with the other images or the captions.
@Nascar9919: Okay, that is all I have! -Riley1012 (talk) 18:58, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Riley1012: Done with the references. Let me know if you need anything else! :) Cheers! Nascar9919 (he/him • t • c) 19:06, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
