Tidying
[edit]I'm giving this a cleanup as it breaks Wikipedia policies such as WP:BLP and WP:V. Big claims need really really good references. If the references are not available the claim should not be here, its as simple as that.
Much of the article seems to be about Gangitano who has his own article. Lets keeps this focussed on the subject please. Moondyne 02:40, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- I think the material about Gangitano should just be deleted and any verifiable information not already in the Gangitano article be shifted over there. This seems to be based largely on the "Underbelly" series and I think people should try to remember that it was a fictionalised retelling, not a documentary. Sarah 03:10, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks Sarah. Moondyne 03:39, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
This is not based on the underbelly TV series, on top of that, many facts stated in this article go against popular belief perpetuated in Underbelly. Underbelly was rubbish, amongst numerous examples in the show it is stated that The Moran Family was part of the Carlton Crew, and it is not. It is not said in the article as well. This was constructed based on reliable sources, not a TV show. I spent hours gathering information of a book on the matter, and compiling the relevant parts here and in the Australian Mafia page. Then you people come and delete it all here and that other page and call it speculation. Please show me a connection between this article and Underbelly. Jonaspv
I have a story where apparently the Carlton Crew asked for one of the Blues' Premiership flags for a funeral and they never gave it back. If I can find details might that be worth putting up? millinniummany3k —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.223.146.13 (talk) 19:15, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
This article is a mess of uncited claims and information at odds with WP:NOR. Wikipedia articles must not contain original research. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.221.155.147 (talk) 07:04, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
Organized (sic) Crime
[edit]There have recently been several changes to the Organised Crime categories without any consensus for the change. This has apparently been initiated by one editor's decision to nominate an existing category for deletion.
Instead of simply reverting edits and becoming embroiled in an edit war, I encourage all interested parties to comment at The Cat for deletion page.

Deborah Boundy
[edit]From my understanding Boundy wasn't a prostitute and there isn't any evidence available to prove this from my findings. She was only an acquaintance of hitman Chris Flannery who was suspected of committing a contract murder with Kevin Williams (a friend of Flannery), with whom Boundy was in a relationship. She had previously been in a relationship with Williams' son; Trevor who was also a career criminal.
Not sure where the "overdoes on undiluted heroin" information comes from, but don't rate the 'Twisted History' source it seems to come from considering they get the date wrong on her disappearance as well.
I'd suggest this be changed to;
By 1995, Victoria Police suspected Gangitano of the following murders;
Deborah May Boundy (14 Oct 1960 - 25 Dec 1985) a key prosecution witness in the trial of Roger Wilson's alleged disappearance and murder by Mark Alfred Clarkson, Christopher Dale Flannery and Kevin John Henry Williams. Williams being Boundy's boyfriend at the time. Boundy disappeared and was presumed murdered on Christmas Day 1980. She was rumoured to have been killed by Gangitano on Clarkson/Flannery's orders.
Gregory John Workman (1950 - 7 Feb 1995) a small time crook, killed in his home at Wando Grove, St Kilda East - while celebrating the release of Mark Aisbett, bailed on armed robbery charges earlier that day. — Preceding unsigned comment added by OccasionalLighthouseKeeper (talk • contribs) 00:50, 25 September 2019 (UTC)
