asking for a page for thaw in general
[edit]There is no page fot "thaw" (meteorological meaning).
This page should be included as subsection of a page on "thaw" in general.
I can't find the good links for my walloon page rilén which means "thaw". It cites a "january thaw in Wallonia (South Belgium) in 1505.
Nothing to find, neither, in the French wiki with "dégel".
But the German link is for "thaw weather" in general.

Sources - tagged for four years now!?
[edit]This article has been tagged for sources for four years now. Especially for the "January thaw" section, could someone please actually add some? 86.132.137.9 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 12:44, 26 December 2010 (UTC). ... E.G. Bowen's theory (suggesting a possible physical mechanism) is by no means conclusively proved, but I know of no other alternative which has been proposed, which might explain the January thaw calendaricity. --DLMcN (talk) 09:36, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
