Yes, he should keep his own entry
[edit]I'm confused how opinions over Jonathan Plummer's intent or what happened with their relationship have anything to do with whether or not there should be a separate entry. I think there should be. Firstly, seeing as how redirecting to one person's page when looking for another seems very strange when there isn't even a section devoted to Plummer. Secondly, is there not enough information specific to him to warrent an entry, however short? Rugadh 22:14, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
No, his story should be included with Terry McMillian.
[edit]the story of this young man should not be shrouded by his soon to be ex-wifes fame. Given he was not only the inspiration for the book his wife wrote, but that a great deal speculation about his motives have come to light, merging this with his wifes entry would only mask the facts.
Sites should be merged. He does not deserve anything but a swift kick in the rear. I believe he was conniving and deceitful. I don't believe you make it to 20 and are not aware you are sexually aroused by the same sex. He should have no claim to fame by a separate mention. She is his story.
Hello you have got to be kidding me. The sites definitely should not be merged. His actions seemed unscrupulous to me. If he wanted to experiment with men he should not have gotten married to a woman. It seem to me like this fella wanted to have his cake and eat it too. Now while he was dead wrong to betray her. She is an intelligent woman as well. Why didn't she think there was an ulterior motive for him being so interested in an older woman, one already established and American. For crying out load he was 20 yrs. old. At that age they are hardly off the bottle and the breast. I am sorry that he was so despicable but she went into that with her eyes closed.
Yes, it is true that she walked right into that situation but he still had no right to trick her. There is no way that he could have been 20 years old and not notice ANY feelings he had for other men. But even if he didn't, he was still cheating on her with his friend from Jamaica during the marriage. He does not deserve to become famous with his own article since the only reason we are even talking about him is because he was married to Terry.
novels
[edit]I'm surprised that McMillan's novels, even her most prominent, are being redirected to the films. The novels that weren't made into films have their own articles. That is, here least prominent works are the ones that we've created articles for. I believe redirecting these novels to the films has discouraged the creation of articles for these novels, which are clearly notable in their own right and which are barely mentioned in the articles about the films. —valereee (talk) 23:56, 25 December 2021 (UTC)
- completely agree. i hope someone addresses this issue as McMillan's novels changed the publishing industry. Nickscoby (talk) 18:42, 27 October 2024 (UTC)
