The metropolitan area
@TheStrayDog:
Greater Tehran (or Greater Tehran Area) refers to the metropolitan area in English-language sources.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8]
The term Tehrān e Bozorg is used in Persian-language sources, which literally translates to "Great Tehran"; but this translation (as well as your version, Tehran the Great) does not occur in any formal English-language sources.
Please stop changing that based on self-formulated literal translations.

Tehran Weather
It is quite strange not to have accurate information about the weather of one of the largest cities in the world!!! We see only the weather of North Tehran which is a very small part of the capital city. The center and south are much warmer and drier. Please reflect the true numbers ASAP 2001:569:5140:7600:A00F:9BF0:DCA0:5641 (talk) 19:57, 24 December 2021 (UTC)

Tupkhane Square Image Date Questionable
The photograph of the Square is dated 1911. But the vehicles in the image clearly seem later, perhaps from the 1930s. There are no horses. In addition, the article itself states that the square was rebuilt in the '20's with modern buildings. Therefore this picture cannot be from 1911. 24.185.153.147 (talk) 13:50, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
Fashion in Tehran and woman’s boots
There are many boot manufacturers in (or around) the city, high heels and boots are the main foot wear in the Greater Tehran. Please refer to this too. 91.98.220.54 (talk) 10:54, 22 July 2023 (UTC)
Population
In the article for Tehran province it's stated that the number of population is 13,973,000 (based on a 2020 source). But in this article the population for the Tehran city alone is more than 15 million people based on a 2018 source. How is it possible? Aminabzz (talk) 13:15, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
Date of becoming capital
Based on some sources Tehran became a capital in 1786 as mentioned in the article itself. But in the Notes section it's 1795. Aminabzz (talk) 13:16, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
Islamists controlling this entry
Being afraid of any evidence connecting Iranian locales, history or art to pre-Islamic time, particularly the rival religion of Zoroastrianism, any addition to correctly explain the pre-Islamic, Zoroastrian roots of the name Tehran, is immediately deleted. So, I suppose, placing it here may prevent the "pious believer" from immediately deleting it. So, you be the judge of the pre-Islamic, Zoroastrian roots of Tehran's name
Another theory is that "Tehran" derives from Zoroastrian name, Tiran, "the abode of Tir", the Zoroastrian equivalent of Hermes)/Mercury. The ancient Parthian town of Tiran had other neighbours with Zoroastrian names, such as Mehrabad and Mehran ("abode of Mehr/Mithra", the Zoroastrian sun/justice archangel). likewise was the villages of Firuz Bahram [["Victorious Mars", with Bahram/Areas/Mars, being another primary Zoroastrian archangel). The nearby site of (Bibi) Shahrbanu ("The Lady of the Land"]] is of course the common title for Anahita). These were other similarly Zoroastrian-named locations in the area. Both of these were mere villages in the suburbs of the great city of Ray/Rhages. Mehran and Mehrabad, as well as Bibi Shahrbanu still exists as a residential district in Greater Tehran, as well as Ray, which forms the southern suburbs of Tehran. The historic Firuz Bahram was enamed recently to Eslamshahr — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:7000:9900:5B67:19D3:5A3B:CF46:69CE (talk) 00:47, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
- I guess I am an Islamist now, that's a new one (on a more serious note, please see WP:NPA). With all due respect, you've been told countless times to not add information without any WP:RS to support it, which you didn't, instead resorting to edit warring. --HistoryofIran (talk) 14:03, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
- That is your problem, that is, not being to distinguish between a self-evident statement of the obvious, and that of a hypothesis in need of evidencing. But of course Wiki has not qualification exams for "editors", but only the good old "First come, first served" modus operandi. That is why the entries in the Wiki remain untrustworthy and worthless compared to traditional encyclopedias where editors ard judged by their academic qualification, not on how fast can they run and get there first to claim an entry for themselves. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:7000:9900:5B67:E908:AB7E:A2F1:ACBE (talk) 03:04, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
- Actually, that is your problem (see WP:VERIFY and WP:CITE. Also, Iranica does not mention your addition [1]). Please see WP:FORUM and WP:SOAPBOX, this is not the place for rants. And please be less hostile (WP:BATTLEGROUND). HistoryofIran (talk) 03:08, 26 October 2023 (UTC)

Lead section
Hello everyone, I think the lead can really use some hand. I think it should describe more about history of Tehran. 5.52.7.199 (talk) 00:57, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
Ice hockey league (Women's)
There is a ice hockey league for women in Tehran. It is kind of national league of the country because other cities actually don't care about hockey at all. 5.211.62.112 (talk) 23:43, 1 January 2024 (UTC)

Also in the economy section you mentioned Iran Mall as the biggest one in the world, which can be misleading because many of it's stores are not active due to the sanctions. 5.211.62.112 (talk) 23:45, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
