Thanks, User:JSFarman, for the information re the accepability of crunchbase as a reliable source. I'm working to find alternate sources to substitute for those.
I'm curious about why WP views cruchbase so. WP's page on it reports: "Crunchbase sources its data in four ways: the venture program, machine learning, an in-house data team, and the Crunchbase community. Members of the public can submit information to the Crunchbase database. These submissions are subject to registration, social validation, and are often reviewed by a moderator before being accepted for publication." Can you elucidate?
There isn't uniform editorial oversight. Machine learning and the in-house data team are only as reliable as the data, and community contributors aren't professional journalists. "Members of the public can submit information to the Crunchbase database" that is"often reviewed" means that not all of the content is reviewed. JSFarman (talk) 01:37, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
