I noticed errors were flagged for this article.

One thing I notice, in error, is the founding of the Award. It started in the 1990s and was known as the John Kobal Photographic Portrait Prize (or Award). There are some details here but not sure if these are 100% accurate: http://www.johnkobal.org/pages/awards-JKPPA.php

I'm not aware of the award existing before this date.
