Turning into a dab page

[edit]

The new species, which were formerly sub-species, all have Island thrush in their name, but this one species is the only one which is only known by that name. The split has it being named the "Tasman Sea Island Thrush", so this page might be moved to that title to preserve history, and then the dab page created. But this page title should not be arbitrarily changed to a dab page. Onel5969 TT me 01:04, 22 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Wasn't sure if that was the case because the eBird taxonomy update page had a typo that said "T. policocephalus" as the binomial name for the Tasman Sea Island-thrush. Sorry (/-_-) Qwexcxewq (talk) 01:46, 22 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. I initially thought the dab simply pointed to subspecies, before understanding that they had all be upgraded to species of their own. Not sure if this should get moved to Tasman Sea Island thrush or not. Will leave that up to others who have a better understanding of this subject. If you do not know, you might want to put a question on the Birds project page. Onel5969 TT me 10:12, 22 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
