[edit]I removed "In Continental Brythonic mythology, and especially in Gaul," because Brythonic is a category of Insular Celtic and thus 'Continental Brythonic' is meaningless. Both known representations are from Gaul; I stated where exactly they were found.
The birds are generally stated to be cranes, not herons.
