Muhammad Tanko was an all time scholar, since his childhood he never cease learning both Islamic and Western Education. When ever he is on vacation(school holidays) he used to visit Old Islamic scholars on daily basis to improve his Islamic Religious knowledge. 1 and ahalf kilometers south to his native village(Doguwa) there is a village called Tagwaye , in that village there was an old Islamic scholar(Mallam Liman Dada) whom Muhammad Tanko gained much of his Islamic knowledge from.
Among Islamic Texts he studied are (from the basic) Qawa'idil Islam, Mukhtasar al~Aklary, Al~Ishmawy, Al~Iziyyah, Ar~Risaalah all which are basis for Muslims worship . Others were Al~Askary, Muwatta and alot books of Hadith which are of worship and legal contents. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ali Tela (talk • contribs) 13:36, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
