speculation of intended purpose
[edit]the portion: "These handguns are small and compact, making it ideal for CCW and as a "hideout" gun."[citation needed] portion, within this article, is more opinion than fact. The citation is a facebook pages report on a page known as "old sarges armory". "Part of a series of inexpensive firearms being imported at the time, that had a direct effect on the 1968 legislation". Is probably more rooted in facts. But speculation on the buyers intended purpose for that purchase is just that. Make it say "makes a great fishing gun to throw off in a tackle box in case alligators attack"
Hybrid import models
[edit]This section originally contained a primer on why there is confusion for the multiple names referring to confusion on roll marks, original packaging branding, Importation companies and companies involved in manufacturing and distribution. I thought that explanation was important to this portion of the article. It is evidenced that FIE was branding their production pieces with both "titan twenty five" and "FIE titan" to refer to their production firearms. I assume this becomes difficult for FLL holders as well as the national firearms registry to accurately input the correct model into their databases. Evidence here:
