Title of Sybille Bedford as child

The title of Mrs. Bedford as child was not that of a "Freiin", which means the same as "baronesse". Her fathers family was nobilitated, but never ennobled to "Freiherr/baron". So Sybille Bedford was born as Sybille von Schoenebeck.Lothar Balhorn (talk) 22:11, 30 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

That is true, and I have edited accordingly. But the difficulty is that in English people unfamiliar with the notion of untitled nobility often call untitled German nobles "Baron". We shall see if the edit "takes". - Nunh-huh 22:42, 30 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Charlottenburg

Although obviously correct for the time of her birth, it may be misleading to talk of Charlottenburg as being to the "west of Berlin". It was incorporated into Berlin in 1920.--~~~ Ralfdetlef (talk) 20:40, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sybille's early life

According to the biography of Bedford by Selena Hastings, Sybille's father was born in 1863, not 1853. Also, her half-sister Henriette was from Schoenebeck's first marriage to Melanie Hertz, not Marchesani. Oddly, Marchesani is the surname of Sybille's mother's second marriage, from which there were no half-siblings. Epikoros (talk) 19:02, 9 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
