Poor article
[edit]This article doesn’t make it clear whether ‘œdema’ is a doctor’s word for ‘swelling’, or a cause of swelling.
It is not really explained what swelling is. My leg is swollen from half-way to my knee down to the base of my toes. Why does twisting your ankle cause that? I don’t see the evolutionary advantage. — Chameleon 10:46, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
- why would there be an evolutionary advantage to injury? · · · Peter Southwood (talk): 06:35, 20 December 2022 (UTC)
- As I understand it, oedema (edema) is a specific type of swelling, and the cause for that type of swelling. · · · Peter Southwood (talk): 06:41, 20 December 2022 (UTC)
