Corrections needed
[edit]The photograph entitled 'sweet pea with ant' is not a sweet pea. It is the cultivated vetch, Vicia sativa. The leaves are distinctive (not sweet pea leaves!)
- Corrected. The image has been moved to the Vicia sativa page. -- Sophos II 20:52, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
"[...] Henry Eckford (1823–1905) cross-bred and developed the sweet pea, turning it [...] into a floral sensation of the 12th century."
I'm guessing there was no time travel involved, so it should be either 19th or 20th century. Janek37 (talk) 19:13, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
Toxicity Claim
[edit]Was looking for what the toxin(s) was in thi splant and couldn't find any info. Then looked for evidence they ere toxic, and found none.
It seems that there is poor evidence that this plant is actually neurotoxic. See http://74.125.47.132/search?q=cache:0zIrimxdnTkJ:128.171.206.29/ojs/index.php/era/article/viewFile/180/153+sweet+pea+toxin&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=9&gl=us
Can anyone provide any infromation showing that the plant is toxic/neurotoxic? If not the refrence should be removed adn changed to report its frequent reporting as being neurotoxic but without evidence of such.--24.29.234.88 (talk) 12:42, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
