[edit]At only 196cm tall how come she has the longest legs when Sandy Allen was 232cm, and presumably the current living tallest woman must be similar. That would mean that the tallest woman would have a torso 36cm longer than Svetlana! Is this true? Is Svetlana very misproportioned?
- Yes it's true, and I certainly don't think so!!! Then again I'm 6'4" myself so its not often I get to see a woman with legs longer than my own.Zaphraud (talk) 02:28, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not sure if "misproportioned" is the right word for it. But her overall size and dimensions are appropriate for a women of her age-- she simply has very, very long legs relative to everything else. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.96.47.25 (talk) 19:05, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
The Guinness category "longest female legs" is a fairly new one (first time in the 2002 edition, record then held by British 193 cm/6 ft 4 in Sam Stacey with 126 cm/49¾ hip-to-heel measurement), so their data is likely lacking. World's second tallest woman, 241 cm (7 ft 11 in, though I'm not utterly convinced that this figure is justified) tall Jane Bunford had reportedly a "waist to heel" measurement of 148 cm (58¼ in) and 119 cm (47 in) inseam. Zeng Jinlian was both taller and lighter, so perhaps she had Bunford beat at this category. 225 cm (7 4½ in) tall Ella Ewing had a slightly smaller waist-to-heel measurement at 142 cm (56 in). Of living women my guess goes to 225 cm (7 ft 4½ in) tall Maria Feliciana dos Santos (link in Portugese) of Brazil: if she really weighs only 65 kg (143 lb) as stated, she must owe a good deal of her height to long legs. --Anshelm '77 (talk) 20:28, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
Date of birth
[edit]The reference for her birth date says August 29, 1971, not April. --Anshelm '77 (talk) 14:22, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
Length of legs?
[edit]Somthings not right if you compare her height at 6.5 to where they say her legs ends 4.3 that 2/3 her total height. Wheres 2/3 of her height on her picture? at the top of her hips! So is that where they measure it from?
Also maybe legs as % of height is what they are on about not longest legs overall?--Johnnysmitthy (talk) 14:05, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
- That sounds like a problem for you to take up with the Guinness Book of World Records, not with Wikipedia. —Politizer talk/contribs 14:07, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
Possible challenger
[edit]Polish 196 cm (6 ft 5 in) tall model Iwona Syhre, 26 (link in German), has reportedly 134 cm (52¾ in) legs. Probably pending Guinness ratification. --Anshelm '77 (talk) 20:00, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Basketball records
[edit]What does the "No. 8" mean for the third one? If, as stated, it's a school record that is "still unbroken", then she can't be no. 8 on an all-time list, surely? 86.158.191.202 (talk) 17:31, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
